Re: Unofficial Builds: 3.5.3 + Nightly [r33031]
Getting TMDB scraper back up officially is almost worthy as a version by itself. Python core updates are a nice touch too. So maybe it wouldn't be worth a major version, but at least 3.5.4 ;) Plus, it's been over a year since anything official has come out and it would make it apparent to the public...

Re: Original XBOX softmod
Timing is important and it may take a few tries to get it right. On your PC, burn XboxHDM 1.9 (including softmod files) to a CD and make sure your PC boots to the disc before trying to hotswap. Pull the IDE cable out of your Xbox drive as soon as the "Microsoft" text appears at the bottom ...

But... what about unnecessary LED lighting? :'(Nextelhalo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 5:20 pm Nope. Been looking for a while now but gave up since the factory heatsink does fine. Fans on the Iceberq4 for loud as hell anyway.

Re: Kodi (XBMC) Released For Xbox One
Update - they added support for external drives! I got my 4TB external plugged in and it's recognizing and playing all my media as expected with library/scraping support. No more relying on NFS shares.

Re: Original XBOX softmod
^^ I also recommend trying the FATX formatter tool If that doesn't work, consider getting a regular xbox memory card and an Xbox controller to USB adapter. $10 for the memory card and like $3 for the adapter cord. This adapter lets you to plug an Xbox controller into your PC, then from there you can...

Re: FATX PC Support?
I could never get Party Buffalo to recognize my drives. Is this tool intended for xbox 360 drives only or something? Maybe my USB/SATA adapter isn't compatible with it? Did some more poking around on this subject. At the moment it seems like FATX support is very very limited if you want to use a PC ...

Re: Unlocking / Locking HDD
You don't need to do a hotswap. That is only for gaining access to your Xbox's hard drive for the first time. After that, you have the hard drive key which you can use to lock/unlock the drive at will (note: consider "nulling" your hard drive key... see my signature). If you don't have you...

Re: [Accessories] Xbox HDMI Cable
I got mine in the mail and have been playing around with them for a few hours. I must say my first impressions are that I'm overall pretty impressed. I compared the quality of the Pound cable versus 1st party Xbox component cables (aka "xbox cables") and kept switching back and forth and I...

Re: Xlink Kai Server on Raspberry Pi 3
Will this work on Raspberry Pi Zero W? I tried loading it up but didn't see the device on my network. Maybe it has to do with improper wifi settings? Idk. I'll keep trying with it though. This seems like a neat project.

Re: Kodi (XBMC) Released For Xbox One
tbh I dont see the point. i use the og Xbox cause it was fun to do and cheap, but if i could afford an Xbox one over here (its expensive) Id probably get a better pc. Also limitations are an issue For me, I have an Xbox One and a newer Android box and that handles pretty much all of my media needs....

Re: PC DVD drive in TSOP'ed XBOX
If you're using a PC DVD drive, you have to wire up the eject/CD ready signals in order for the Xbox to know that the tray is closed and such. If you just have power and IDE hooked up, the Xbox doesn't know what the drive is doing. This process varies depending on what drive you're using and can be ...

Re: Wiping my boxes-can anyone help?
In theory, the drive can store new data to where your deleted files used to be once they're gone. So it should be as simple as deleting any files you think may contain sensitive info and then copying over new/more data (and repeating a few times if you're paranoid). If you need to be sure, you can t...

Re: [Accessories] Xbox HDMI Cable
Very cool! I'm going to grab one myself and do some comparison. I have the same monster cables and a component to HDMI converter. Once it arrives I'll do some tests and put it through my capture card and share the results. From what it sounds like, this could be a great alternative to spending $60 o...

Is this a newly developed product? I've never seen this before. If it works good that would be fantastic.

Re: Can a modchip flash onboard bios?
Oops, hold the phone. I might have a case of the dumb. I can use the modchip to get the eeprom off the locked motherboard then just lock a new drive with the salvaged key and go through the tsop flashing process. Disregard! I'd delete this post but hey maybe someday someone will find this after goog...

Can a modchip flash onboard bios?
I have a couple motherboards that I don't have the eeprom for and I want to bring them back from the dead. I have a Duo X2 Lite chip and an X3 (with front bank switch). Is possible to use a modchip to flash the onboard bios? Can I boot a locked Xbox with the chip enabled and then disable it after it...
