Re: XBMC as main dashboard. How to boot into Evox?
You could go into file manager, find the evox .xbe and launch that - not the nearest of ways but would work

Re: Custom flubber animations with X2 bios?
Cheers for the info Nextelhalo, I could make out and edit some of the options by just reading through ini file but that config maker tool would make it much easier to set colours. You're right though as it wasnt exactly what I was after, I wanted to still use the custom 3D rotating models instead of...

Re: Custom flubber animations with X2 bios?
Not sure on patching the bios with the animations, I was hoping it was as easy as just modifying the x2config text file with a path to the custom .X files. I really liked some of the animations that had been put together by other users here but the reason I switched to X2 5035 is that I sometimes us...

Custom flubber animations with X2 bios?
Hi chaps, I've been using ind bios for a long time and from this xbmc4xbox post I had used some of the custom .x files for when the xbox boots up. More recently I've been using X2 5035 as either I've been using psyko_chewbacca's awesome XBlast chip or the xbox is a v1.0. I wanted to know is there a ...

vga cable project for sale
Hi all, a couple of years ago I was impressed by a couple of articles on making a custom vga cable for the xbox: Frosty's vga mod more detailed guide After buying the parts and having a rubbish attempt at soldering to one of the lm1881 chips I gave up and it's been sat in a draw since. Pictures belo...

I imagine you're pretty competent at soldering but a good tip I came across is to use conductive paint - can apply easily with a toothpick or similar

Re: Install a custom FAN
Dunno if stock size is 80mm but bigger is better - lower rpm (quieter) for same airflow and with a bit of trimming it fits in nicely

Yep can control via temperature - xbmc keeps my xbox at around 45degC. If you launch a game though I think it reverts to BIOS settings
If you're thinking of cooling consider changing the thermal paste as well

Do you have instructions available to show how you're meant to connect this up? I'm interested in getting one but given my soldering skills I want to see how difficult a job it is! Cheers

Re: V1.0 GPU fan
Yeh as MrMajst3r says I didn't find it to make much difference without a fan but still I stuck in a larger fanless GPU heatsink from a 1.4 xbox

Automate shutdown sequence using remote?
Hi all, I'm sure I've seen something similar on here in the past but couldn't find it; is there a way I could set a custom command/script for the DVD remote so that when I pressed 0 for instance, xbmc4xbox automatically shuts down the Xbox?
Cheers

Re: [WTB] X3 Pro Switch (AUS)
You can buy the x3 pro switch in green in the UK still. Price is great but postage in the UK is expensive I think. If you check with those guys they might be able to do a deal for international shipping. I've brought from them in the past and they were fine.
