do you have a modchip? make sure it is seated properly as that may cause the box to frag (what you described). Dummy proof and make sure you have the AV cable firmly in place. If you need anything else let me know.

how big is your G drive? have you tried disabling it in unleashx and re-enabling it? Worse case is that you may have to move all of your things from G to F and format G and see if it shows up. Use xbpartitioner to format the G drive if you need to do that.

try a different dash and see if that loads. What size hard drive are you using? Are you using a modchip or did you softmod your xbox?

try to ftp xbmc to a different partition. Also, try to run slayers or AID to see if you can switch dashboards to verify that it is xbmc and not the hard drive that you are having issues with.
