Does anyone know it is possible to unlock (if the drive is locked) an XBOX HDD (I have 3 SATA drives can't reformat that may have been locked on a Softmodded XBOX I know longer have using Chimp) even if I don't have the eeprom?

I'd like to see if these do work on an xbox. Ebay has em pretty cheap.

What are some good options as far as skins for wide icons? I prefer ide icons because I like the artwork and viewing them is more pleasing to me than big icons. I am currently using XBOx-Classic skin which I like, but I would like a skin to display wide icons larger, and possibly support background ...

I don't have the original xbox that I tried to format them with. I tried GParted, EaseUs, and disk part (as well as several other PC tools), but nothing works.

I already did all that. These drives will be displayed as having a RAW format, and cannot be formatted. I don't think they are locked, because they were prepped with a TSOP modded XBOX that I don't have any more. Is it possible if they are locked to unlock them ?

What I usually do in that case is boot up my XBOX, start up DVD2XBOX with the FTP server on, rename the old XBMC folder then transfer over the new one.

It would be awesome if there was a program plugin for xbmc4xbox that somehow would let you rename the default.tbn to folder.jpg and vice versa because it seems to be that whatever is named default.tbn takes precedence over anything else.

Oh too bad it couldn't be say, default.tbn for a wide icon, and folder.jpg for a big icon and be able to switch icon views based on that.
