Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?

If I go into the config file and go to the bottom I've got 3 paths for dashboards, is this where I put the first 2 as fakes and the 3rd as genuine? Yes Also do I need to link to actual files or can I put a link to the root of C for example? Neither. If you link to actual files then it will run thos...

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?

Try Evox M8+. There's no guarantee that it will work, but iND-BIOS reads its config from the hard drive, so (presumably) tries to access the hard drive earlier in the boot sequence than Evox M8+.

Re: Modding ?: TSOP Flash = No Flubber

Edit the BIOS to give the effects you want. Put it in E:\Dash\EvolutionX\BIOS\. Use the file manager to launch E:\Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbe. Select System - Flash BIOS, then select your BIOS. Alternatively, if you have a v1.1 Xbox then you can either: - Use HeXEn to flash X2.5035, then edit E:\x2...

Re: Xbox HDD upgrade

i think i think idiotsfan made it
That would be ldotsfan - not an i in sight anywhere in his name......

You can also use lxhdm (on HeXEn) to build new disks on your Xbox. It has the advantage that it doesn't copy your old softmod, but installs a new, clean one.

Re: What DVD Drive Do I Have?

There's also the Hitachi HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR8050L. It was used late on in the life of the Xbox, on the 1.6. I have one that I use just for ripping badly scratched discs - it's the most reliable of all of my Xbox DVD drives.

I'll see if I can find a picture.

Edit: Here it is.

Re: Play PAL games on NTSC box?

your laser might need a pot mod? Unlikely. There isn't any difference between PAL and NTSC DVDs that would mean the Xbox would read one but not the other. Try the white button as professor_jonny suggests, or rip from DVD to your hard drive with DVD2Xbox, which I believe patches most of the region r...

Re: Help Getting Started

Easiest The easiest method is to use a gamesave installer. To do that here's what you do: 1. If your dash version isn't 5960 then run a post 2004 Live-enabled game (Halo 2 or later) and go through the process of signing into Xbox Live. You don't need to be connected to anything, the first thing the...
