Re: [Release] XAI (Xbox Addon Installer)
I have had a chat with Jan about this before. Ideally I'd like everything to be in there but currently Jan just sends me a pack of his latest addons every now and then so I only add what he gives me permisiion to add. I'm hoping Jan will accept my invitation to be become an administrator for the rep...

Re: First time Xbox Softmod for xbmc - Newbie
@fbpearce: Thanks for posting that up again, I lost the link on the old forum. I'll get that posted up on xbmchub for you. You might want to consider adding that video to the tutorial section on here - we don't have one showing how to upgrade a HDD yet. Haven't had time to watch it all yet but it lo...

Re: iPlayer - cannot "Watch Live".
Welcome to the forum and I'm glad I could be of help. Hopefully Buzz might be able to shed some light on it, I'm not sure whether iplayer is a joint effort between him and Hitcher these days or not but I think it used to be. Sign up for a free account at http://www.tvcatchup.com and then install the...

Re: iPlayer - cannot "Watch Live".
Has the "Watch Live" section ever worked on xbox? I only tried it a few times and it never worked for me. Just use TVCatchup - that's a great addon and despite it's misleading name it's actually live freeview tv and not catchup tv (make sure you disable HD streams in the settings though).

Re: Anyone got access to a CNC machine?
Nice work asbo, that seems like a very decent price you've got there. As a former chippy myself I know what you mean regarding imperial/metric (I also had to find a new career path due to bad health, although surprisingly not from MDF dust inhalation!). I was taught metric at school but tend to use ...

Cheers for the tip asbo, I've already got one filter on each one but will be buying an air vent kit for each one that also includes filters.

Thanks psychotron, you've pretty much confirmed what I thought should work. Often thought about trying this out myself - might use my parents xbox as the test subject next time I'm there

Re: Vevo & Hulu Thumbnail Caching
Is caching the reason those plugins were taken off the Addon Installer? What plugins were taken off the Addon Installer? If you're referring to XAI I have only had to remove one broken addon since it's release (don't ask me what it was I really can't remember now!). If you're having any problems wi...

Re: 3.2 stable - Can't update database
just ftp'd a fresh install to my Xbox, all seems to be ok for now.. Except no [removed] :-( [removed] is on Jans special build, it requires certain dependencies. You could try copying over all the script modules and plugins from Jans build to the new stable release or wait for him to release the ne...

Re: How To Install/Update Addons
Ok yes if you're using a different dash when ftp'ing there will be no Q partition. If you ftp with XBMC4Xbox running you will see a Q:\ partition. This is a mirror of your XBMC4Xbox install directory so either way is fine - Q is just a little simpler as some people have more than one install of XBMC...

Re: New Arcade/Media Hub Project
is the PSU exhausting outside?!?! Yeah I know it's probably a bit overkill but that should help keep the temperature down hopefully! The inlet fan is also blowing in air from outside - the room the unit is in gets pretty warm so thought I'd maximise the air intake. Making 2x 127mm holes in the exte...

New Arcade/Media Hub Project
Yesterday I thought it was about time I finally got on with my new project so I thought I'd share it with you guys - some of you may find it interesting and some of you may be able to point out some flaws in my plans! I recently sold my arcade cab I made as it was taking up too much room and I neede...

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
Cluster size should be: 16k up to 250Gb 32k 250Gb-500Gb 64k 500Gb-1Tb If you don't format it to the correct cluster size you WILL lose data and will have to re-format again at some point in the future so make sure you get it right! There is a way of checking, something to do with ftp'ing a small tex...

Re: First time Xbox Softmod for xbmc - Newbie
To be honest all you need is a memory card, if you send it to me I'd be happy to copy the relevant gamesave file to it for you. I'm in UK - if you need someone to do this for you let us know where you are and I'm sure someone on here is in the same country and would do it for you for the price of a ...

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
You'll need that partition to be 32k cluster size. I can't say I've used HeXEn to format my partitions so can't really help you on whether or not is formatted it as the correct cluster size. I think I remember Heimdall mentioning that it does do all the hard work for you but I don't want to give you...

Re: Aye, Aye Raspberry Pi
No issues with Sandisk SD cards so far. From what I read, the power supply is a more common culprit for the Pi's problems. Now to get back to getting scratchbox2 to work so that I can cross-compile bootc's raspbian kernel... Thanks, that seems to be the general consensus on the forums so I ordered ...

Re: Face Book and a web Browser
If you're willing to do some testing that will be much appreciated thanks. Not sure why Navi-X was sticking for you, maybe you need to completely delete your install of Navi-X and reinstall using XAI (it's in Movies/TV Shows in the scripts section). I think the the version on Jans build uses the def...

Excellent work fella. I do admire your mad skills, most people would just try and hook up an LCD screen. I applaud you for sticking with the trusty old (and very heavy!) CRT. Jolly good show old chap
