Re: Original xbox psu 1.2 to 1.5
Thats a v1.0/1.1 PSU with a Version 1.2 - 1.6 motherboard connector.
Thats why it doesn't match any of the above diagrams.
Someone has done this to it, or MS reused old PSUs.

Re: odd network problem.
Had this issue with the latest nightly builds (I build from the source) Where XBMC would hang & only way to fix it was reboot, went back to beta 4 & no issues. If no Ethernet is plugged in it doesn't hang, so its a network thing. What specifically happens with me is when I load a profile it ...

Re: Where should XBMC directory be
I have mine in C:\Dashboards\XBMC\ but that's just me lol
If your default dash is XBMC then it should be in E:\ if your default dash is unleashx or evox then it will be in E:\Apps\

Re: 80mm Silent Fan Mod
Temps sit about 34 idle/48 after playing a game for a few hours. Psychonauts! So I'm happy. What are your hdd temps like? Havent a clue, I use a 2.5 640GB Sata HDD now & XBMC doesn't tell me its TEMP. Also the configuration is now different, I made it into a slimbox. & I have the Fan blowin...

Then, doesn't matter what version you use they both can read the partition table.

Re: From x2.4983 to X2.5035 bios
Correct, if formatted with xbox partitioner. If not you will need to use the .6 version. The reason is because, if the HDD has a fake partition table (ie LBA48 hack) then the .67 bios would only show 137GBs on F (partition 6) & 0Gb on G (partition 7) If you did format with XBP then your fine &am...

Yes it supports the xbox partition table, also you will need to put the config in E:\ & set it up correctly, before flashing anything.

Re: hex editing games to force 480p? + widescreen hacks
I know its been a month, but I have been patching all my non 480p games & made a patch file for dvd2xbox. Most games work with the generic codes, but there are a few that don't & you would disable the generic codes if patching them. Always backup the xbe before patching. Any how here is the ...

Re: update to latest build error
Remove everything bar the USERDATA folder & install fresh, don't overwrite the USERDATA folder though.
If that doesn't work the. It's not your dashboard your replacing, or some more info on what type of mod you have installed. Software or hardmod.

Fixed it myself, it would seem XBMC doesn't like logging off from any other window bar Home.

Re: XBMC won't start up
Try my XBMC4Kids mod & see if that works, it removes most of XBMC bar what's needed to run. Just place it anywhere on the xbox.
If that doesn't work, how many folders do you have in E:\UDATA?

Thanks again for the help, I figured out what I needed to do, posting this here just in case anyone else may find it helpful. I know it may be a little "too hacky" but I am just opening the log file and reading the file directory from there. if (os.path.exists(xbmc.translatePath("spe...

OK, has anyone noticed when you loging off a user it shows the master profile then logs off.
Its no big issue, but it just make things look a bit tacky for my mod.

XBMC4Gamers (Pet project)
OK, making this thread for my current mod, its a mod of XBMC, using python scripts & a custom skin (slik) (also I do not include XBMC you must get that yourself, I just have a batch that preps it for you) What it does: Allow kids to play xbox games with a nice poster view & not muck about wi...
