Re: My opinion
xbmc4xbox has too many issues atm....i mean when i go to scrape my movies after adding the source it leaves out too many of my movies...iv tried rescraping but still the same.....if you ask me xbmc for the pc is flawless and works perfect and fast....xbmc on the xbox is too flawed and as much as i ...

Re: Vision dashboard
I'm not a troll and I love xbmc, Im loving the android fork too. I've introduced innumerable people to the joys of xbmc. I'm just saying it like I see it from my point of view as JUST a user. To the masses the coders are unsung heros that they'll never know or meet and as I said before I am thankfu...

Re: Vision dashboard
What a surprise, another "User" who doesnt care about the people who spend years making what they have possible. Thats the kind of attitude that makes devs question releasing new stuff. You spend years making something, watch somebody take your code then turn around and claim it as origin...

Re: Vision dashboard
I have some questions.. BP does not actually release the binaries for Vision (or CoinOPs) himself. It is third parties that do. Would it be the responsibilty of these third parties to release the source code and not BP? Also, does the source code only need to be released on request? These third par...

Practice is definitely needed to become comfortable with soldering, and using a good soldering iron makes a big difference whether you're experienced or not.

Re: Using XCM Crossfire converter (without 360)?
@AZImmortal I didn't know that about microcontrollers. Perhaps a USB HUB running a custom firmware will work? Are drivers always needed in order to recognize a 360 wireless receiver? Or Plug & Play? http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Black/dp/B0032A0RBC/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&a...

Re: Using XCM Crossfire converter (without 360)?
@AZImmortal That would be best. I was thinking driver support built into XBMC (guess that might not be possible?) Running xbox usb adapter to microcontroller to 360 receiver would work. If someone needs to manufacture the microcontroller controller just as well roll it all into single unit. Unless ...

Re: Using XCM Crossfire converter (without 360)?
@AZImmortal Wanted to know if the mainline thread addresses this. the source code is there it could be added into xbmc :-) but sadly it would not work in games etc... :( you could in theory make a emulation device to pipe the data from the wireless reciever to the xbox using a microcontroller then ...

Re: Using XCM Crossfire converter (without 360)?
This would only work on platforms that have existing driver support for the Xbox 360 peripherals (like a Windows computer). The original Xbox has no such drivers (as explained earlier by xman).Redneck9 wrote:It seems mainline is working on a solution.

Re: XBOX fan speed setting help.
I just wanted to add that it does sound like the other two Xboxes have corroded traces. If you're handy with a soldering iron (or if you know someone who is), then it's a fairly easy fix, and while you're at it, you should remove the clock capacitor because it's prone to leaking: http://img370.image...

I feel that I need to ask since you haven't specifically mentioned it, but your Xbox is modded, correct? If it is, then how is it modded?

Re: 720p play and other stuff
@AZImmortal I don't want to go into a debate what's allowed where, I just wanted to mention one of the problems around variable / average bitrate, and along the same note what values would you need to choose for min / max as well. One example, HandBrake only allows you to set an average bitrate thr...

Re: 720p play and other stuff
Most (all?) encoders will let you specify minimum and maximum bitrates when encoding with VBR to get around this problem.Dan Dar3 wrote:Problem with variable bitrate is that at times it could be so high that the CPU will choke and may lose frames at playback.

Re: cant ftp
make a note of the i.p given and use that as a static ;) That's not a good idea because the router expects to be able to give that IP out via DHCP, so you could end up with two devices on the network with the same IP. Static IPs should only be assigned outside of the DHCP range. In any event, I'm n...

Re: x2 5035 config injector ?
I'm just assuming since the reason for injecting with a live config bios would be to not need the config file. I'm guessing pj wants to skip the extended boot time required for live config bioses.Nextelhalo wrote:I understand what he's doing but where does it say he doesnt want to put that file on his hard drive?

Just use X2_Config maker found here, it will do everything you want and it's got a built in FTP program that will FTP the config file your hard drive for you. http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEElFyZpZkAVhkyBYP.php He's looking for a way to inject the config file directly into the bios so th...

Re: Red/Green light :(
I which case I would say boot the disc and connect the modchip's D0 wire enabling it presuming it is still connected. Unfortunately, it's not this easy. Once an Xbox is booted from the TSOP, then you can't flash an LPC modchip. The same goes for booting from an LPC modchip and not being able to fla...
