Re: TSOP Flasher Project (Based on Chimp)
The issue with the Xbox Linux 2.6 fatx driver is it's not very good  it doesn't handle loads of folders and files on a fatx partition properly, so you won't see all folders files e.g.... So C and the cache partitions are preferred. Thanks for your reply, Yea it's all slowly coming back to me.....

TSOP Flasher Project (Based on Chimp)
Yet again I'm making another attempt at improving my TSOP Flashkit basing it on Rocky5's Chimp Loader and Chimp261812 What inspired me the most was how Rocky was able to automate Gentoox Loader to boot Linux without any input... CHIMP LOADER: Firstly I would have to figure out how to get Chimp Loade...

Re: Need help with Tsop recovery after bad flash..
i just bricked another 2 Consoles flashing corrupt M8+ Bios with Gentoox. Firstly I would have to ask what makes you certain that the bios.bin was corrupted? I know on Linux this could be checked by using the compare command like so, cmp badbios.bin goodbios.bin > badbios.bin goodbios.bin differ: b...

Re: Issue Loading Chimp261812
XBP Table Writer is used to write a partition table to a drive that doesn't have one, i.e. drives formatted with UnleashX, evox dash eg... Chimp 261812 will only clone F and G partitions with a valid partition table. Alright cool, so its only required if one is going to clone a drive. I havnt clone...

Re: Issue Loading Chimp261812
I've finally had some time to have a good look at Chimp Loader, First of all compliments to Rocky5 for he's great work, I am definitely impressed Its good to see an automated version of gentoox loader that requires no input Personally I use Chimp to format 2Tb drives on hardmodded consoles Initially...

Re: Issue Loading Chimp261812
Damn it, I remember now this happens all the time... "File Permissions"
for some reason when I use my Linux only Laptop and FTP, I loose permissions
I've gotten around this in the past by using a Windows Platform
Even if I chmod these files they always loose file permissions after FTP

Re: Preparing for RAM Upgrade
I used an ordinary heat gun, and a protective layer of aluminum foil pressed onto the board, with a rectangle cut-out for the modules. A copper cable sleeve to hold them firmly to their pads. And some paste flux. I don't know if they use lead-free solder or not, but based on my tests with a donor 1...

Re: Ultra IDE Origami
That's a big cable  LoL, I mentioned this on another thread but due to availability, I had a choice between a cable that was either to small or to large. Just letting you know the connectors on the IDE cables can be removed by taking the top clip off and pulling the lower part of the connect...

Preparing for RAM Upgrade
I've been wanting to do a RAM upgrade for sometime now. There's a few things to take in consideration when upgrading... BIOS: In my opinion it would be best to TSOP flash the console as the original BIOS will be useless once upgraded. Personally, I don't only need a BIOS that can support RAM upgrade...

Ultra IDE Origami
So last week my parcel with two 800mm ultra IDE cables finally arrived. The first thing you should notice when trying to install a new cable, is that the hard drives connector is inverted on the original cable. To replicate this I devised a way to fold the new cable shown below... http://i.imgsafe.o...

Re: Who runs a 2Tb drive?
It's a modified version of NKPatcher with the virtual drive system implemented & it doesn't work with ind-bios 5004. Works with M8+, ind-bios 5003, the last x2 bios before 5035 & x2 5035, maybe a few others all I know is it works with most popular ones. Thanks, I'll have to have a play with...

Just a thought, Instead of trying to remove or disable this feature would it be possible to hide the popup somehow?

Re: Scanning Media Info
This should only happen the first time, after they have been scanned into the MyPrograms6.db they will scan within a few seconds as XBMC scans for new games. Yea on the first time it took a few minutes to scan through the 400+ games, every time I return to the games menu it scans again but this tim...

Re: Who runs a 2Tb drive?
I'm not sure of any way other than connecting to PC and checking with software. I used CrystalDiskInfo for Windows. Thanks SimBin, Everything things seems to be working as it should for the moment But if i have any problems in the future I will definitely be checking this. CHIMP: @Rocky I quite lik...
