Broken DAB radio lcd screen - any chance of repair?
Hi guys, I've got a question I'm hoping one of the more knowledgeable people on here could help with. I cracked the lcd screen on my Pure Elite DAB digitial ratio - this is how it should look I've taken the radio apart and can see how the screen is mounted off the circuit board . Googling the number...

Re: XirRemote help
I've heard off the XERC mod but have not actually seen it - a quick google search suggests its not as plug'n'play ready as the xir? Do you know if you are able to customise the button mappings (e.g pressing '7' on the dvd remote for 2 seconds powers up the xbox)? Not slating your preference at all, ...

[FS] Aladin XT plus' on eBay
I found a seller on eBay selling a load of Aladin XT plus modchips - these might of interest to those of you who want to look at LCD mods. I should point out I've got nothing to do with this seller, I'm posting up here becuase I've never seen these available before brand new (I joined 'the scene' in...

Re: Windows Vista - please Help! - PCI.sys corrupt can't bo
Its quite easy to use ubuntu, if you burn the iso to a cd you can boot up from it straight away. Once in the OS is quite intuitive and if you plug in a USB stick or similar, it will get mounted automatically and show up just as it would in windows.

Re: Poor resolution and Enable 720p disabled
Yep you got it right, you'll need component leads for 720p. I've seen some people give negative comments on the cable you've chosen but I think they're in the minority and for the price and availability I'd go for it. If you were interested in digital audio out then you could search for the official...

[FS] Crystal X3CP (now sold) and other xbox items
Edit: thanks for the interest, Crystal X3CP now sold I've also got some misc xbox items I've got lying around so figured I'd try and sell these on. I've bundled some pics together here but in summary I have: - 1 crystal xbox, v1.6 softmodded but other then that completely stock. Good condition - v1....

Re: My MCXB X3 version rack mount style case loaded!
Having never seen one of these before I now have instant envy! Thanks for sharing, it reminds me of the XBCase which I would also love to have. This might be a daft question but are they made by the same company? Judging by your previous posts you must have quite some collection; do you have a page ...

Re: LCD for Xecuter 3
Cheers the for links guys, psyko_chewbacca, the 38mm height on the lcd you posted up sounds doable, I'll check alibaba out although I think that is the supplier on that page is one I had previously contacted. Thanks anyway!

Re: LCD for Xecuter 3
psyko_chewbacca, I had seen your post over on Assembler and was impressed by your modding skills! When I was looking at doing this your thread was the only one I came across where a non-Xecuter lcd was sourced that could fit over ports 3&4. I tried emailing the sales support on a couple of diffe...

Re: LCD for Xecuter 3
Yep as stated, I wanted to do this myself but when I saw the amount of soldering required in this interesting guide I quickly gave that up! Combined with the 'official' cable, the XLCD was virtually plug'n'play. The other advantage was the small size - it could be custom fit above controller ports 3...

Or if your Xbox is pre-1.6, which it needs to be for ram upgrade, you can flash the tsop with a custom bios

Re: scrape video library just from samba share .nfos?
Thanks a lot for the offer, I'm pretty happy with Ember and to be honest can manually fix a few of the problems it has with pulling the right banners and .nfo files. Just wanted to know what people thought the best all-encompassing software was but considering all the software is free I can't compla...

Re: scrape video library just from samba share .nfos?
I tried playing around with the nfo files and it was the <episodeguideurl> url tags screwing up the scraping, thanks for the help Dan Dar3. If I manually remove that tag then the files get scanned in ok. I can't find a setting in MCM to stop adding that tag in each .nfo file so have tried using Embe...

Re: scrape video library just from samba share .nfos?
Thanks for the reply and posting a link to the wiki, I don't have an <episodeguide> tag in the tvshow.nfo file but there is an <episodeguideurl> tag in there which, for South Park, links to the follwing dead link: <episodeguideurl>http://thetvdb.com/api/xbmc/series/75897/all/en.zip</episodeguideurl>...

scrape video library just from samba share .nfos?
Hi guys, what with the new beta release of XBMC I figured I'd finally like to get my video collection showing up in the XBMC library. I've got a samba share containing a folder of tv shows and I've used Media Center Manager to create .nfo files, rename each folder and download posters/screenshots et...

hawsey wrote:Can you just snip the cap out? Sorry being lazy here :$
yep that's what I do, just squeeze a pair of snips under. I did once manage to cause the cap to leak by squeezing snips underneath but it beats taking out the mobo and desoldering!
