Re: xbox help required - buldging caps
From your picture it looks like you have a v1.2-1.3 xbox console. In regards to the caps, the clock cap should be removed (excluding. v1.6 consoles) Clock cap is located within a cluster of caps on the bottom left of the MB. (SuperStor) The caps below the CPU are 3x Nichicon HM Series (3300uf 6.3v) ...

Re: Buying a 1 or 2Tb HDD
I finally found some time to install the above 2Tb Seagate drive and adapter I bought... iND-BIOS 5004.67 was used and prepared the drive with my auto-installer... XBP1.3 was then used to reformat F & G individually to 927Gb at 64 cluster... The entire process took about 10 minutes and seems to ...

I got told off for using google translate for some german text on the wiki I maintain, I was told it was more confusing than English for some of the native German speakers :-) Yes using Google Translate can turn real ugly in German, I tried it once whilst I was there ... I dont think she liked me m...

SATA Converter Inspection: So my SATA converter came in the mail yesterday... Overall it looks alright but a couple components haven't been installed properly. Re: Unusual original (OEM) parts
Coming back to this fan I found in a v1.4/15
I noticed my earlier post was too dark to see it...
Turns out its a SUNON (12v 3.2w)
Cant see the model number past the sheilding.
Most of the other fans dont have any identifying sticker.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wu9BPG0Yhg4 So I finally got a hold of one of the most powerful Xbox systems ever created. That would be one with both the classic 128MB RAM mod and a CPU upgrade. All work was done by a legend known as Trusty. Look around the net for him. His work is awesome. The sta...

Re: Case Mods Showcase
I'm not really a fan of case mods, tacky paint jobs or annoyingly bright leds.
But I really like the new look of Plasti-dip, Did you just the matt-black? No Glossifier?
Oooh, They have Plasti-dip "Smoke" on eBay....
Wonder what it look like using that on a crystal console?
