Re: BIOS ID Detection

you might need to enable debug mode to get a full log.

but as for the rest have a look on the wiki it may explain the usage but likely the BiosID.ini follows the same format as the evox dashboard?

Re: FatXplorer progress update

I see references to drivers and mounting. Does this mean fatxplorer will allow you to see the drive in Windows?? I hope the UI also helps with the process of copying a crap-ton of files. the 360 drive mounts into windows as just another drivefor drag and drop support like it was a normal pc formatt...

Re: N64/ Trusty CPU microcode bios update

1 Ghz Processor doesn´t need to be updated? I don't believe so as it is the same formfactor but I do not have a 1 GHZ to actually check the processor info from Linux to confirm. I believe the chip they use is a BGA 495 (KC80526GY001256) or (KP80526GY001256) which both I believe are covered by the 6...

Re: Using the SMBus with another device?

The SMbus is used for traffic for system management (go figure) and because of that is not recommended to be used for addons it could interfere with something critical. Best to use a LPC super I/O controller and serial bridge for what you are planning or use a modchip with SPI. http://xboxdevwiki.ne...

Re: xboxhdm23usb

I was under th impression it is not a good idea if the drive is beyond a specific size or cluster size, so most only use it for setting up softmods etc... eaton zevare is on the final stages of making fatxplorer work on the original xbox and in thim it will be the fastest method to transfer games et...

Re: Updating XBMC when XBMC is running as the dashboard

what I do is ftp it to a directory along side your current xbmc and call it xbmc 2
then load up the xbmc 2 from the file manager then rename the old directory to something new.
then load up the old version from the file manager in the new version and rename xbmc 2 to xbmc

Re: Selecting a BIOS

you cant really just dd the drive in Linux in some cases because of the cluster sizes and it can create problems whith larger harddisks. the original drive may not have an ondisk partition table also best to check the cluster size is correct before you corrupt the hdd. but the m8 bios is what you wa...

Re: N64/ Trusty CPU microcode bios update

As a check after the Kenel is patched you can run MC extractor and verify the Microcodes afterwards are correct and only the two updated ones are installed and are not corrupt. You can find MC extractor below: https://github.com/platomav/MCExtractor/releases The resultant kernel image after patching...

N64/ Trusty CPU microcode bios update

HI I have been playing around with the my Xbox and the bios and have realised none of the bioses are optimised specifically for Trusty and N64 modded motherboards with updated Microcodes to patch Eratta. Eratta is basically bugs contained with in the processor that causes it to operate outside of wh...
