Did this guy consider at any time it wasn't the Dog part of his name that needed changing. Like Dog isn't good but Scoop is ridiculous.

Re: Tube Change In An Arcade.
We, yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. Early Taito Space Invarder cabs were exactly the same as were several other "reverse screen machines". Your problem is your image is showing up inverted through the mirror in the cab because your monitors image is being reversed through t...

Re: Remove cd-rom
Fingers crossed it does the job Psychotron. I agree, it would be handy. Only found it about 3 weeks ago on some obscure site and thought that's exactly what I tried but with the 3.3vDc and you can get that from the modchip port, nice and close. What also got my interest was the part about the SD car...

Not that I'm aware of however grabbing the board out of a Thomson DVD drive will work a treat that way the machine still "sees" a DVD drive in place. You could TRY this and let us know if it was successful- No DVD Hack.JPG I did try something similar with no result but I didn't consider th...

Tin snipes with the grill out of the case and if it bends the part still in the grill, flatten it back down with a small hammer.GhostlyGamer wrote:How is it that you cut those grills? Tin Snips? because i tried using tin snips to open up a hole for a headphone jack, and it didn't look too good.

Re: What does make the temperature rise?
Yer your box will shut down if you exceed about 71c. I personally set auto temp at 50c and minimum fan speed at 2%. Your holes will take heat out of the HDD but late model HDDs run a lot cooler that the originals did. I run 1 and 2TB satas that run at about 1/10 the heat of the stock originals so th...

Re: How to change thermal paste on CPU/GPU Heatsinks
Don't be put off by literally washing a board. It is exacty what was done to the board straight after production. It was common for us to pull out Daytona car machine boards and do this form of washing after coke was spilled on them in arcade car cabs. These boards were 4 layers high and were worth ...

Blue case, nice. LEDs nice and the case looks brand new. Pity us in Australia weren't worthy of blue cases. Not even I would do a slim on one of those but Nex, I reckon you would?.

Re: DVD Subtitles
Yer, I think so, try starting the movie, bring up the on screen panel, (lower left small button on a controller), Navigate up to the speaker symbol, select and in Audio and Subtitle settings you will see "subtitle". Change this setting to NONE and then 2 rows under, it says "set as de...

Re: Switching from Softmod to Hardmod.
Yer you can edit it but on a softmod, you cannot get rid of it or it's noise or control the volume of the noise. If you have an edited "flubber", and with those colors it defiantly is edited, check and see if you have a modchip or TSOP mod in your machine and if so you can remove the flubb...

Re: External USB HDD?
I have been using XBMC for a LONG time. I've always had my setup whit one file server and then I played all my music on the Xbox. Now I'm not having a file server any more. What are the different options for file storage? Is it possible to hook an external 2.5" usb drive to the xbox or do I ha...

Had to alter a few things like extend the original T.V. control panel wiring so it can be accessed by the user from outside the cab. Yes, I know in a perfect world it could have been inside the cab and controlled via the remote control for the T.V. but not in the world with my kids. remotes get lost...

Re: Switching from Softmod to Hardmod.
Doesn't matter whether you use an F or an F/G bios. I only use F/G bioses even on F drive HDDs. You will simply see in filemanager, "G drive.....error"......0 kb, where as with a F only bios, G drive will not be displayed but other than that, nothing. It has absolutely no ill effects and c...

Re: XBPartitioner 1.2 alpha source code
I believe the version you gave me was 1.2 version 3 as the 1.2 you gave me originally would lock up although it did have the cluster size displayed. The next version was I believe 1.2 version 3 and it does not lock up, ( after you modded it) Here's some pics of when we did the testing first on a 2Tb...

Xman will be happy to hear this ;). I am switching from a Softmod to a Hardmo, anything I should do with regard to the Softmod? I have a 300gb HD with F taking all, how will that be affected by the BIOS partitioning options? Should I remove the Softmod before I activate the Chip? Etc I'll let you t...

Oh and those long bits with the yellow groove down the middle are 68cm long to give you an idea of scale. I've paid now so that's that. Perhaps I could have got it cheaper elsewhere but in the end I got it at a price I thought was reasonable. That's a good price on seeing the scale of your project....
