I've had this before on an old xbox... it even had link lights, but the board I'm sorry to say was broken... even hard coding an IP address still resulted in no connectivity. have you got another xbox you could try?

Hmmm looks very much like a stock heatsink..... which will cool a 1ghz modded box... but not a 1.4 Tualatin CPU, and the solder pads for the 128mb upgrade seem to be empty?

I dont do much soldering really, xbox bits now and then, bit of repair work etc so should be fine
