Re: [For Sale] Misc xbox parts
Shameless bump - I'm moving house and want to get rid of evertyhing. If you can just cover postage / can collect we can sort something out otherwise this is getting dumped / donated to charity. Also, testing the water, I have a 1.1 TSOP'd xbox in a crystal case I might sell, let me know if intereste...

Re: Hello!/ BIOS questions
Just to weigh in about soldering - my soldering skills are terrible so I use conductive paint. It's about 3usd off eBay in a sryinge and you can use a toothpick to apply. What's handy is if you're clumsy applying it you can just wipe of and reapply

Re: Is this really necessary ? Xbox Clock Capacitor Removal
Not sure about dates of manufacture. I think there is a way you can check via serial number but I think going to system info in xbmc and checking Xbox version is quite reliable. As for having something to clean the motherboard with, not necessary if the cap hasnt leaked but be careful if you're not ...

Re: Is this really necessary ? Xbox Clock Capacitor Removal
Take a look at the photos asbo posted in this post - taking the cap of is worth doing if you have the top of the xbox off.
I don't know about stock bioses but with a custom bios I can't see a downside to removing the cap.

Changing XBE reigon on xbox?
I brought a 128mb xbox of here a while ago which came over from Germany. Everything works great but after transferring a few backup xbox games onto the harddrive I've realised these games now play in German (German audio, menu etc.). The xbox is using the ind-bios and the hard drive is unlocked. A l...

Re: Modded original xbox HDD issues
Not sure about slayers but if you boot up with a recovery disc such as hexen you'll be able to use the file manager to check if anything is there and then ftp key files off.

Re: Xbox .x files for boot logos
Hey guys, Rocky5 had kindly posted up his files a while ago when I asked about this.
I never got round to using them, can anyone explain how they link to the BIOS? If you use ind-bios for instance can you edit the config file to point to a .x file on the hard disk?

Re: What does the ghostcase includes?
Can't help with the DVD kit sorry although I think I've seen a YouTube tutorial in the past to adapt an xbox 360 clear kit to the original xbox.
Didn't know ghost kits were still being sold. Would be interested to get one, would you mind posting up or sending a pm when you receive it?

Re: Wanted: any old (dead) mobo to cannibalise video connect
my skills involving a soldering iron are terrible and I would have preferred to send across the entire board which obviously would be a bit pricier on postage. If you don't get what you need just give me a shout

Re: Thrustmaster Beretta 92FS Light Gun (Original Xbox)
That was the lightgun I was after, I really wanted to get a lightgun set up with Virtuacop3 running on one of N64_freak's 128mb boards.
I'm sure you're aware but with those kinds of guns you're limited to using a CRT TV. If you can get something like an EMS topgun you can use it on an LED TV.
