Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread
Since DealExtreme v.1.0 SATA to IDE adapters are so easy to get, I made a diagram to fix them so they work with the Xbox. Just wondering what exactly does that modification do? How did you know to connect those points? Why are some people able to get that adapter working without the mod? First ques...

Update: updated the diagram, removed Alt point since it disables the DVD drive lol (kinda useless if you need it) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v131/rocky5/Forum%20images/64b...

My New Modded Xbox
OK, nothing fancy. But I have a new motherboard from N64Freak (thank you) with a 1GHz CPU & 128MB of Ram. Now what I have done is add my internal Wifi dongle, Noctua Fan, Sata HDD & LG 8164B Drive. (DVD Drive currently waiting for me to build the adapter board) Oh & Tsop flashed with Ind...

Re: Tsop flashing an atmel chip ?
That means the solder points are not functioning correctly.
Pad lifted or soldered wrong/not connected correctly.
I don't think the atmel chips is like the sharp one & requires 5v to flash.
Just try resoldering the points, 2 min job.

Re: Tsop flashing an atmel chip ?
Then you may need to go the gentoox way. If you use the hexen disc you would select the winbond option. But before doing that make sure your solder points are solid (In good shape) & the bios is 256kbs. Also 1.2/1.5 boards have the points on top ;) & are identical bar the version number. (Ex...

Re: Tsop flashing an atmel chip ?
I'm assuming you bridged the points? Just re-read your post, you haven't bridged the points :-/ you need to so the Tsop can be written to. Tsop points, this will also narrow down what xbox version you may have. http://www.biline.ca/xbox_solder.htm Once you have bridged the points, here is what you n...

Re: My MCXB X3 version rack mount style case loaded!
Where did you get the 8164b adapter? I purchased one & the seller screwed me over & sent the wrong item & just generally lied after that. (Amazon & seller was from France) I have an LG8164b drive flashes for original disc reading, but no way of connecting it. (So it works like an ori...

Re: Tsop flashing an atmel chip ?
Use Evox to flash that Tsop, there is only one reason, you wouldn't use evox & that's if you have a Winbond.
(Evox flashes everything, bar winbond tsops, it can't erase the chip)

Re: 128MB RAM Bios Help
Just an update, I got my 1GHz 128mb ram board today from N64Freak & its a 1.4 with a Winbond Tsop, so it would seem every EUboard had them. I have never had a 1.4 without one.

Re: Xbox V1.0 with 1ghz mod and 128mb of Ram
4 week is a bit too soon to say there is an issue. Delivery generally takes 1-3 week, and It can be jammed at the customs for about 1-2 week. I don't know where you guys live, but from experience, I found UK customs to be real %$?/ing jerks.. might be your trouble. Last package I've sent in the UK ...

Re: Xbox V1.0 with 1ghz mod and 128mb of Ram
Hopefully it turns up, if not it should make its way back to N64Freak as it has a return address on it.
It's just a bit shit to be honest, looking forward to it so I can get my xbox all setup & closed only to not get the board & it cost me money, not loads but a fair bit.

Re: Xbox V1.0 with 1ghz mod and 128mb of Ram
Just like to update my status.
I haven't received the board & it's going on 4 weeks now, it would seem it's lost in transit, since it wasn't sent recorded or by courier I'm out of pocket £77
When ordering stuff from other countries, request recorded/courier it covers your ass.

What part is the "DVDROM Simulation"? ...And what is it connected to? The first image hasn't quite got enough resolution to see it clearly. Connect these pins together. (Below is what Trusty done, by the looks of it) Pin 06 Pin 07 Pin 10 The xbox will think the drive is closed & ready...

Re: Help error code 13 PLEASE
It could be two things. 1. Your HDD is not configured correctly, ie, dashboard files & such. 2. Your sata adapter is not compatible with the 40 wire ide or Xbox. (Go to * ) * Try this. (Make sure your sata adaptor is set to master) Take out the DVD drive & boot the xbox, if it boots you need...

You don't have a winbond Tsop oO But glad you got it sorted :D ind-bios is the best in my opinion for us non 512kb+ peeps. I will find out some time th...

Re: 128MB RAM Bios Help
Well I have a V1.4 Witch I am sure is 256k TSOP. So I thinking I have to get a mod chip to use ind-5003 BIOS 1.4 you flash the Tsop with the ind-bios, those bios are 256kb in size. You will need gentoox or raincoat to flash your Tsop though, since its will be a winbond. Note that not all v1.4s have...

Re: 128MB RAM Bios Help
@Rocky5: You can inject the config in a ind-bios.bin and flash it to get rid of the "loading config" screen. Downside: You won't be able to edit the config from a file after that. Look at this video old from me, pitch black startup (don't ask me for the config file or whatever, long time ...
