Re: Cheap And Easy Xbox HDMI
Don't know if its due to pulling my 5v source from the DVD drive cable or not but my converter drops image after a while for about 2 seconds before recovering. It will proceed to do that at least once more while playing a game before working perfectly. Any ideas? Should I change my power source?

Re: Picked up another xbox
Hmm thats interesting, coulda sworn they looked bulged. Still kinda do but maybe just the lighting.
If the console isn't powering on at all this might be your problem:

Its not a Psu issue, Look at the capacitors below the Heatsink. They look swollen and will need replacing.

Re: Looking for Xenium Ice
Where are you located?
I might have a genuine Xenium Ice laying around.
I know for a fact I have a few clones if you're interested though, only drawback is their built in OS is the original release version and cannot be upgraded without bricking the chip.

Re: Cheap And Easy Xbox HDMI
Awesome, thank you so much! How did you go about hooking the power to the DVD drive cable? Also, why do points 13 and 14, 11 and 12 need ground wiring? 11,12 and 13,14 need to be bridged together with a short wire. It tells the console to output in component, without them bridged it wont boot becau...

Re: Cheap And Easy Xbox HDMI
Where does the green wire exactly go? I know he said "Brown wire is the 5vDC that goes to the motherboard connector". But where is that exactly? Also the black wire, just to clarify, goes under the motherboard screw right? I'm not big on wiring and soldering that's why I want everything t...

Are those alternate points on only the 1.6 xbox or are they the same on the older models?

Re: x3CP LCD DIM with 100% brightness
Thats not due to the brightness. That is caused by the contrast dial on the modchip, you will need to open your xbox and spin the wheel the other dirrection.

One of my units does that too, I think it has something to do with it being on a older dashboard.

Modding it would be a nice way to throw 800-1000$ out the window. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xbox-Launch-Team-2001-Special-Rare-Limited-Edition-2001-Signature-by-Bill-Gates-/262467389349?hash=item3d1c4687a5:g:a2wAAOSwgn5XEqjS Edit: Just realised it was dead, I say sell it as is or mod it to your taste...

Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread
So there is so much information listed in this chat. Has there been a decided "best" adapter to use for a 2tb mod? I imagine some of these adapters are slower or less reliable than others. Is there one that is recommended higher than others for decent loading times?

Any possibility of a tutorial for that board you made?
Possibly a link to the board you inserted into it?

He basically means you need to complete the connection between a couple of the wires that would normally be going to the missing switch board.Eddard Aardvark wrote:

Re: Cheap And Easy Blue Tooth Audio.
Just did a remake of my bluetooth enabled OG xbox. The bluetooth signal was WAY too weak with the adapter inside the shielding. rebuilt the mod to bring the audio to controller port #2 and moved the transmitter into a DVD Dongle :D Perfect connection now! http://i.imgur.com/PJywfEa.jpg http://i.imgu...
