Not as a replacement but as an alternative such as mounting behind a wall mounted TV or even an in-car system - i do still love the xbox.

The new Pi now packs a quad core processor and 1gig of ram, should be better running xbmc now i think.

I find that with the clock error i just leave it powered for while and next boot it clears itself, never been a show stopper.

Check all the connections again, if it worked before you started the mod then chances are you stuffed something up.

Any remote that uses the basic dvd player commands should work but most likely you will need a programmable universal remote like logitech etc.

Leaf blower , i just take them down to the shed and fire up the compressor .

Had surgery on sunday, 1 plate and screws. Will be off my feet for 8 weeks

After 6 days of waiting for swelling to go down , surgery is booked for tomorrow am.
I will be glad to get my arse out of this bed before i go crazy.

Over 30 hours and i'm almost redy to chew my arm off .

Yesterday morning around 11am i fell off a ladder about 2m high and landed on right toot and broke my fibula and shattered the socket.
Been in hospital for nearly 24hrs and fasting untill they know when i go into surgery, seen a surgeon and he said it will be a plate and screws fix.

To be honest there are not many scripts that work anymore so i dont bother with them, xbox is still my main media playing device which it still does very well.

Wrong forum, this is original xbox only not 360.

I used to believe that the dvd kits were region specific but i bought a bulk lot of them ex USA and they work fine, i dont use the remotes but the sensors are handy to use with universal remotes like the logitech Harmony range.
