Re: OS and other xbox ports
I've always used gentoox by shallax, there are some options to make it run faster by installing it natively but this means that the hdd can only be used for linux and not xbox games. I have one xbox with 2 hdd's on a switch and a chip fitted again with a switch and tsop flashed the on board bios as ...

if your going to use the newest SID Babylon you might need a big usb stick but even a 8MB memory stick/card will work fine with some earlier versions of SID.

Re: Xbox pc case mod
Nice tut,
I found when building my PC cased xbox that if you cut the entire base that the xbox mobo and psu sits in away from the sides then you can bolt the whole mobo and psu to the PC case neatly and without any worry of any shorts.
Thanks Sixtys

Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread
Jeez that one is expensive!
The one i used cost me £3 delivered.
They might take a while to get back to you as some of those sellers deal with hundreds of people a day and are normal people with normal lives and prob an xbox they would rather play on than return emails, Lol.

Can you not scale it from the picture?
I'm guessing you could allow a little extra for the vertical sides and cut them down to suit after.

Re: need quick help for slimbox
I got round that problem by putting a bridge wire where the ribbon cable was that then tricked it into reacting as if it were closed, not at home at the moment otherwise i would say which pins at board type i used. I had to do it because the board i used refused to boot the xbox without the 2nd mobo...
