Re: Xenium Clone
If you're talking about interfacing the LCD through the Xenium to your Xbox, it will work regardless of the Xbox revision.
As long as you can boot your Xbox with the Xenium clone, LCD will be supported (in hombrew apps at least, I think not all version of the Xenium OS support LCD text output...).

Re: Xenium Clone
Well first you'll need a HD44780 compatible LCD. You can find cheap ones on Ebay. Be warned that almost every units that has a 4lines per 20 characters will not fit on the front panel, above controller ports 3&4. For it to fit, you need a LCD that has a height of max ~40mm. Second, you'll need a...

Re: Flash gun with emulators
I remember playing Duck Hunt with a light gun a long time ago. It was working really well. At that time, FCEUltraX was "the" NES emulator for Xbox. I don't know if Mednafen NES supports light gun.

Re: 500gb ide not working
Plug in 500gb ide to xbox with installer disc in, then gets stuck on xecuters bios screen and the power button light turns red.. Sounds a lot like HeXen or Auto-Installer disc booting up. Even with a 100% working configuration, they can take more than a minute to fully load. I imagine you could sta...

They'll be almost equally as hard to find as the Aladdin XTs that have LCD supports.Ging3rguy wrote:What about a Xenium clone
Check for people selling their chips on various forums. Be warned that these modchips are really popular and usually sell quick!

Re: Xbox AVIP break out board
the mode pins can be set to high z inputs on the fly and upon making a set pins command it only sets the pins required to output and it leaves the others alone so they will stay high z input this is sort of what I guessed I would try to see if I could set the mode pin logic low but not to ground. t...

Re: Xbox AVIP break out board
Just remember that between the moment the cable is inserted in the AVIP port and your PICAXE micro resets its IO to HiZ, a lot of time was elapsed. 1-PIC detects cable insertion 2-PIC sends interrupt to the CPU 3-CPU reads PIC to know the source of the interrupt 4-CPU pulse reset line 5-PICAXE catc...

Re: Xbox AVIP break out board
If someone should pop in a cable when running the picaxe will detec the presence of the reset signal I have allowed for that but I did not really like the idea of soldering to the reset line of the hyper transport bus I was looking for a true reset trace somewhere i think it is available on the pic...

Re: GPU temperature reading
correct I read it wrong but it explains the process of obtaining the cpu and gpu temps in a 1.6 and where they com from and how with sample code, it may be of use. Yep, the same code was integrated in XBMC and it's been in XBlast OS too for a few days too. Indeed, and It's intersting that the CPU t...

Re: Xbox AVIP break out board
Would people consider a kit set option you build it and I supply all the parts with a pre programed micro or no micro for a manual version if they so wish? I think a kit containing all the parts is good for you. It saves you from soldering so many units. A set of bare PCB would also be nice for tho...

GPU temperature reading
Hi there, While developing XBlast OS, I was playing with temperature readings and after some research, I came to the conclusion that the temperature reading identified as "GPU Temperature" in XBMC4Xbox does not come from the X-GPU at all. On 1.0-1.5, there are 2 temperature probes supplied...

Re: i Was Running Out Of Xboxes So i Bought Some.
You can use any old solder to bridge the TSOP points, no need for anything special or a link :) I would add that setting your soldering iron at a low temperature set point (still hot enough to melt solder but barely) will help when trying to "drop" the solder on the solder pads you need t...

Xbox artwork is really appreciated. i don't know what that means... - I meant ability to display box art, game background, text synopsis (and ability to play video preview?) in the same way it is shown on the 360 and One. http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/download/file.php?id=981&mode=view The ...

Re: i Was Running Out Of Xboxes So i Bought Some.
My request, seeing as we are taking "wildly silly requests", would be to incorporate the software used on those learning IR mains receivers i showed you and talked about some time ago. Hook it up to the ON OFF switch using the IO ports on the Xblast so you could use any button on any remo...

Re: hd44780 compatable vfd display
Nice find. If only they could make 20x4 ones with ~40mm height... How's the price on those? Last time I checked VFDs where like $50 and up for 2 lines. I think OLED character LCDs would be more suitable replacement nowadays. You get the visibility of VFD for cheaper. I think it also consumes less po...

Sometimes, packaging could be a little better as he ships electro sensitive devices but it's cheap stuff from China so you know......
