Re: Nightly Builds
I totally agree with Dan on this one. SVN for downloading and offering the latest Nightly for evaluation and testing and the last know stable. It is a system that works and is well understood however, how about if no problems are found with a "nightly" after a given amount of time, it's st...

Re: Can someone post a slimbox tutorial?
No worries brother, i do think it would be a good idea for you and I to merge the tutorials a bit, then let Xman pick us apart for any errors  It was you Nex that got me interested in modding and it was BKO's slim mod tutorial on the old forum that got me into slimming. I don't think it would ...

Re: Good score :)
Nice score BigKid, Have a regular look in your local Salvation Army shop for good bargains too. I have been lucky twice now there on Xbox and Logi stuff paying no more that $30. Pity I'm not into early Atari, Nintendo and Sega stuff because they always have it on the shelf.

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
P.J., been thinking about this and maybe there is an easier way to achieve a delay for the HDD using the DVD drive. I have known for some time a faulty or poor reading DVD will increase boot times as the machine 1st tries to read a disc or non- performing laser prior to going to the 1st boot locatio...

Re: Xbox bios boots in 576i
Some of my machines do that to although I think mine boot to 480i and then once out of the bios splash screen, machine goes to 720p. Strange that it doesn't happen on all my machines even though they all have the same bios and usually the same modchip.

BuZz, any reason why my Mod status is not active on this forum yet. I sent you information regarding my WordPress Account on the previous site. Maybe I didn't make it obvious I was a Mod on the previous site. Can you let me know please.

Th tutorials will start to appear in the Modding Section. I know of at least 2 being done by other members as we speak. Is there anything in particular anyone is after?.Dawscaus wrote:I am new to the xbox and wanting to do some mods. I would greatly appreciate modding tutorials.

Now that I could use along with a diagram of the driver circuit I need to drive the LEDs if you have anything about what's required. By the way, go ahead with the green and I'll catch up with the crystal. ;) I started another "special" today along with the white and it will take some time ...

ICE. A White Slim Clock
Never did a white Slim Clock so what better reason that a nice new forum to build one aye. I haven't done a tutorial on "How To Slim" because Nex is doing one so I will start with all the parts in front of me and take it from there. Anyone after a "How To Clock A Slim" tell me an...

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
Got a sacrificial board just in case?. I had one with no LAN working but found how to fix it today so.......If the lines are connected as you say, I can't see any harm trying. The lines that suffer from corrosion could be able to help with this mod as well.

Sweet P.J.. Hardwired LCDs. I have my SmartXX courtesy of Nextell in a swap deal we arranged so I could give an Ambient Light feature a go in my LCD machine that had the X3 chip in it Nex was desperately after. Seemed like a fine swap to both of us so it was done. No cash. I mostly like the LCD fitt...

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
I'd go for the processor reset line I think. Holding the processor reset line low or high, (whatever is required), for no more that a second as this is more than the time required. I seriously think we are talking milliseconds here. I don't believe you will damage the board as this is what you are d...

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
May be some truth in that to P.J.. I only target 1.2 - 1.4 machines for 1 and 2TB sata mods. I have done 1.6 satas but only to 500Gb. M8 bioses are all I use. Some pics of your new machine would be cool in the Showcase. ;) @ Craig- The problem you rectified by using an external power supply to power...

To Thumb Or Not to Thumb?
Remember the "thumbs"?. I personally thought it was a brilliant idea on the old forum and I believe it did improve the forum in the way of quick responses not that anyone was answering for the allusive lollies but it was a fine way for people to show their appreciation for fine answers or ...
