Re: Help Getting Started
1. First determine how much memory is in your system. 2. Pending your memory requirements, download either xboxhdm2.2-full-gui.rar (if using more than 512mb RAM) or xboxhdm2.2-lite-console.rar (if using less than 512mb RAM). 3. To get your USB to multi-boot you now need to download Bootable USB-Dri...

Re: Strange HDD issue
That's why it is giving you different results. UnleashX in ndts loads a different BIOS before it runs, and that sees your hard drive differently. It's designed for troubleshooting. How big is the hard drive? Are you expecting there to be anything on the F partition? When you say "when I try and...

Re: Strange HDD issue
Which softmod did you install? (To avoid the usual runaround, Splinter Cell isn't the name of a softmod, neither are hotswap or NDURE :). The answer is Krayzie, or SID, or Kingroach, or Autobuilder). Where is the second UnleashX that you boot, the one that can see the F partition? What colour is the...

Softmod Xbox - with shadow C:

Re: Modchip surprise .
Hold on a second. I just reread your previous post, and we may have more work to do. You need to run XBPartitioner after booting your normal dash, not after booting HeXEn.
You should also try the long press on the power button before resorting to resoldering.

That BIOS is fine, no reflashing needed.
Try booting with a long press on the power button.

Re: Modchip surprise .
It's an Aladdin XT (XenoChip) 4032/4064 http://www.xbox-scene.com/modchips3b_table.htm HeXEn can't fix how it boots - that will require some soldering to permanently enable the chip. You might not need to reflash the chip. Run Evox or XBMC or BiosChecker, see which BIOS they say the Xbox is running....

Re: Bricked xbox recovery
If you have the eeprom then you build an xboxhdm disc including the eeprom, then use your old tower PC to unclock the disk, rebuild it, and relock it.
If you don't have the eeprom then it's xboxhdm and hotswap.

Re: No Network
That means you probably installed your running version on top of an old version. Boot to a different dash, delete your current XBMC, and replace it with a clean version.

Re: only got a standard hdd
No! I mean insert the HeXEn disc, reboot the machine, and reinstall the softmod that way, as I said 4 posts ago..... Run HeXEn, select one of the Krayzie softmod installation options. Pick the one that matches your region. If you have one of the exploitable games pick that, otherwise pick the Splint...

You're not supposed to be installing XBMC or switching to XBMC as your dash, you are reinstalling the softmod to get back to a clean and known state.....

Re: [VIDEO GUIDE] How To Enable HD
If your Xbox is softmodded then it doesn't use x2config.ini. Run XBMC and see which BIOS it says your Xbox has. Until we know how it is modded then you might continue to struggle.... In passing, you shouldn't have your booting dash on F, in case your mod goes badly wrong. Booting dash on E is far sa...

I'd bet on the chip working and the DVD drive being dirty / broken.
What do you see when it boots up? What colour is the LED when the dash boots? Can you boot a retail game?

Re: Help with newly recieved Xbox?
Yes, they need a video cable plugged in, and at least one of them needs to be connected to a TV so you can see what you are doing. Connecting the Ethernet cables from each Xbox to your router is far easier, because each Xbox will get an IP address via DHCP. It also means you can use straight through...
