Re: Question on VGA or Component

vga is best but getting actual sync signals is the issue.

Rather than stripping the sync from the green line is best to get it from the native points on the motherboard and converting it to logic level eitherway will work but the sync stripping method may not allways work 100% with all monitors

Re: Jamma timers

I just hooked up one of these in a cabinet to a Xbox it required modification to the Jamma loom as the board differs to the Jamma standard. Specifically the Jamma standard does not specify 6 button controls and on games like streetfighter the actual game board has extra terminals for these buttons. ...

you could go for one of those micro ide drives like what they use in handy cams the earlier ipod models and some notebook computers they are more likely to work with out too much issues as they are native ide.. you could try a hitachi 1.8" ide 1.8"cf 50pin ide drive or 1.8" zif ide drives all can be...

Re: TSOP Flasher Project (Based on Chimp)

You could see if raincoat can read from the ramdisc instead of mounting partition 51. Then all you would do is have a simple menu to pick a bios. I'm mean there is like only 4 bios you need to choose from. ( not much need for earlier x2 bios, so I would use M8+ in its place ) I did this some time a...

Re: DuoX3 Mod Chip?

it is just like a duo x2 but has separate flash banks just a run of the mil modchip.

the ones that have 49LF002B chips can be flashed from what I remember because of a hardware stuff up, and the manufacture substituting the flash chip for another with out modifying the pcb to suit.

No an x360 key is just a fancy virtual dvd drive.

you can only run kodi under Linux with software rendering and it is extremely slow.

Re: Forum Update

Nothing I can do about that unless there is another plugin for that system. Tapatalk is working and is the latest version. Perhaps it's not compatible with it, or Tapatalk have intentionally changed the API to stop it working. Possibly the reason why but if that was the case an older version of tap...

Re: Forum Update

I use Mtalk for reading the forum on my windows phone and it no longer works 🙁

It fails to even log in now.

Tapatalk is not available on the windows phone, mtalk is what all windows phone users use instead, it works on the same tapatalk back end i believe.

1.4 to 1.1 tsop swap?

is it possible to swap a different sized tsop onto another board ?

I have a 1.1 and the tsop has suffered a bad flash and I have a v 1.4 xbox that is fried, I'm wondering if it is possible to swap the tsops over and if so do I have to reconfigure any wiring or jumpers on the motherboard ?

Anything will work really but you may get a better picture with coax.

Ideally you should use 75 ohm coax, if you could get a hold of some (RG-179/U) or even better 9221 Coax would be best.

Implying that the one you have is slow or the dual docks are slow in general? What kinda speeds are you getting, what could i expect for a 2Tb drive? My particular one is slow but as I only have one I don't know if this is a problem in general or just with my one. my one would take 3-4 hours to do ...

Re: Cheap And Easy Xbox HDMI

Are those alternate points on only the 1.6 xbox or are they the same on the older models? I believe all models have inductors on the top on the video output lines but I don't recommend soldering to them as it is best to solder to the actual avpins on the port as they are protected against short cir...
