Re: Xbox Open-Source Video Project

Cool project but I'd just be worried someone would plug the vga cable into something and damage the xbox or display as im guessing the 12v line and mode select pins are carried over the 15 pins in the vga cable. I played with that exact filter/amp with my avip board I made to try clean up the signal...

Re: Xbox Flashing Orange?

the ndure softmods ramps the fan to 100% unless you put the fan.bin file for other speeds.

I remember this with ndure installer and putting the fan.bin in the config folder, I just think it cant find a compatable dash or a dash loading fault it may not be faulty sata and hdd.

The xblast chip you can buy now from a nice guy ben that does all that the x3 does. More likely it would be $40 per chip and a 5000 run would cost $200,000 I think you are dreaming if you think that many people would buy in. Set up a kick starter campaign and croud fund it and put a link on several ...

Re: TSOP OG Xbox 1 or 2 TB taking too long to load.....options?

Try a different model of DVD drive if you have one, I have found swapping the DVD drive for a different model can make it warm boot and drop boot times some times, no idea why tho. I have found some usually non working adaptors periodically boot with a specific combo of DVD drive, I have also found ...

Re: How To Make A Plugin??

best bet would be to download a plugin and have a look, but there may be some info on the wiki or a look on the KODI forum may help. There are plugins maintained by our dev buzz and there are a few XBOX specific ones around. The XBOX and mainstream KODI differ in this area exactly what I 'm not sure...

Re: n64 freak xbox not working

Sounds like you have bga issues between the motherboard and adaptor or motherboard and GPU.

Best to talk to N64.

It may require a reball or reflow of the processor adaptor, you will need a rework station to fix it.

randomise video playlist at startup

Hi I have a XBOX in the kids room that when I turn it on it automatically plays a playlist with videos. I recently updated XBMC4XBOX on it and now it plays the same play list but now it is not random it plays the same file order every time. I have selected shuffle when saving the playlist but it doe...

Re: Unsure if Xbox is mod chipped or not, have orange ring no boot problem after Hexen

it looks like you have a modchip You just need to run hexen and restore the dash you are booting to as your bios cant find a default dash to load so it loads the official microsoft dash which cuses to console to lockup because it has a softmod modded dash.. then you need to remove the softmod by rep...

Re: unknown chip not booting

that is an xecuter 2.6 modchip you could try to hard wire it to boot a bank below is the info I believe on the functions of the pins of the bank switch. Pins 1 & 4 - On if bank switch is set to 1, off if set to 2. Pins 2 & 4 - On if chip is enabled, off if disabled. Pins 3 & 4 - On if flash is prote...

Re: Smartxx LCD does not work

your soldering is not really that good, turn the temp down as it is melting the insulation and retracting from the solder pad leaving a lot of exposed wire and possibly wicking the solder up the wire which will leave it brittle. i'd double check your connections are in the correct spots, does it wor...

Re: Need Help! G Drive Disappeared and F Shows Wrong Size and No Content.

Some times with sata adaptors they add delay when they init and the partitions/ drive may not be fully online before the kernel needs it and it boots up with partitions missing usually f/g. try an alternate sata adaptor (one from the recommended list) and see if it rectifies the problem it most like...

being it is a 1.1 I would suggest the fix would be to tsop flash it.

if you are reluctant to solder a conductive paint would be an idea.

Re: ram chips,where to buy?

I believe going above 128 is not going to happen any time soon. For starters you cant buy ram chips in the same package as the current ones in bigger sizes they really only come in BGA form above 128 and would require an adaptor to the convert it to fit the motherboard. The design of this adaptor is...

Re: How does the d0 point work on the Aladdin xt plus2?

Lframe is an LPC Bus signal that signifies the start of an LPCBus transaction, in the case with the Xbox it is the trigger for the xbox to talk to device connected to the Xbox LPC Headder by telling the cyclops the bus is busy so the modchip has free rain to access the LCP port. Yip that is the trac...

Re: How does the d0 point work on the Aladdin xt plus2?

The D0 point is what causes the Xbox to boot from the LPC bus instead of the onboard bios. the 1.6 is a bit different as you control LFrame but for all intent purposes the same result and often labeled D0 in install manuals and references on the net. If you permanently ground the D0/ LFrame it will ...
