Re: Larger HD Partitioning

I have never found a way of using ftp with an xbox that didn't require checking that all files and folders copied ok. That being said i dont ever use xbmc because i find it far too slow, the whole file manager in xbmc is far to slow for me. I use UnleashX on the xbox and filezilla on my pc but it do...

Re: Softmod or Chip?

Chip will work with out a dvd, just make sure you use a bios with no dvd check, but Most will tbf, just unplug and you will see :D
bigkidoz wrote: - you either tsop flash or chip, not both.
nothing stopping you from doing both, I have Gentoox loader on tsop with Excuter on my modchip in my slim, works perfect.

Wow! that is cool! it makes my slim look fat again :D

amazing amount of work has gone into that too, I am surprised that you did that with a 1.6 and therefore no ram upgrade

Re: Trusty's speed control pics

Looks to me like the switchless board has the capacity to have the switch added, stands to reason that it would be a clone of the friendtech adapter or indeed 1 of the very same. Very interesting ;) it looks like a frequency splitter or something like that as it has a oscilator on it. it possibly ha...

Very weird, lol.

I've done a few 1.6's ( other peoples, i hate them  ) never had this but i always use Sid 3.0 that i got from http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/ a long time ago, always worked fine, I have never used hexen or anything else.

try re soft modding it with another softmod.

Re: new xbox wierd problem

Have you removed the board from the front panel and inspected it for damage? you will have to peel the black sticker off it to see the circuits,it's quite vulnerable to being kicked up the front of the Xbox, whilst your in there check that the yellow cable is fully home in its sockets both ends.

I am working on the pics right now. Later tonight I hope to get them on here. is Trusty going to be ok with you doing this? He has only just graced us with his presence on our forums & I would rather he stick around and sell us all more mobo's than have some pics and upset him. If he's cool wit...

Trusty removed the cap for me already, did some testing last night playing hd content that will not play on a stand...

Re: Locking an HDD without knowing the password?

You could try locking it with xbhdmanager using Team Assembly as the password, there is a good chance that if the hdd was unlocked it would have been done with configmagic
