Strange Audio Issue During Movies

So, I've encountered an extremely strange audio issue when playing movies on one of my Xboxes, and my friend has encountered the same issue independently. Both issues have occurred on v1.4 Xboxes using XBMC4Xbox 3.5.3-r33027 and component out directly to televisions. Both use IND-Bios 5004.67. The i...

Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread

Good news, everyone! I managed to resolve my issues, and gained a good number of insights in the process. First off, I resolved my Error 7 issue by switching to the IND-Bios 5004 bios on both of my Xboxes (v1.0 and a v1.4). IND 5004 has a longer boot-up sequence, and this seems to give the SATA/PATA...

Video Player Optimization Suggestion (Simple)

So, I've just spent the last week or so tackling the issue of getting higher-res movies to play on XBMC (learned how to re-encode movies as a result), and the limited RAM on the Xbox definitely rears its ugly head when dealing with 640-720p movies. A lot of these issues can be circumvented by loweri...

Easy way to downscale movies to play on XBMC4XBOX

Hello, I'm having a heck of a time getting most movies to play on my Xbox, and I'm wondering if there's an easy way to downscale video files before transferring them to the Xbox so that they won't freeze the 'Box. I tried following the guide written by The Pitt (I believe) about using StaxRip, and I...
