Re: Long File Name mp3's on hard drive.
Go to System>Network>Services and there should be an option for Auto FATX limiter. If that is turned off, any attempt to ftp a file longer than 42 characters will fail. Turn it on and the file will copy with an automatically shortened file name. I "believe" that's how it works. Also, there...

Long File Name mp3's on hard drive.
I'm getting ready to put a 2TB drive in my softmodded 1.6. I want to copy my mp3 collection over, (about 30,000 files). Is there any way to copy them over without the system shortening the filenames? My plan is to keep stock size for C and E, and split the remainder on F and G (about 900 and somethi...

Shortcut to emulator on Home screen?
Is there any way to put a shortcut to an emulator on the home screen under "Programs"? I'm running Confluence Lite and I have shortcuts to plugins/addons on my Home screen via the skin settings, (ie. TuneIn Radio and World Radio under Music, Apple Trailers and YouTube under Videos, etc). I...

Re: Power Wireless Adapter Off Of XBOX Power Supply?
Oh, also, what are the voltage = color codes for the molex wiring? Is yellow 12vdc or is it red? Is there any difference in the 2 black wires or are they both just grounds?

Re: Power Wireless Adapter Off Of XBOX Power Supply?
Cool, I'll give it a shot, ( I need to open up my box and put some new thermal paste on the chips anyway). Then I would just need to find a super short ethernet cable, maybe 3"-4" and glue/afix the adapter to the back of the xbox and I'll basically have an xbox with wifi.

Power Wireless Adapter Off Of XBOX Power Supply?
This might be a silly question, but...I've got a v1.6 XBOX (softmodded, 160gb drive, XBMC, etc.) I have a TrendNet TEW-647GA Wireless N Gaming Adapter connected for ftp, streaming, etc. The power supply for the wireless adapter is 12 vdc at 0.5 amps (6 watts). But because it plugs into the wall behi...

Maybe someone can take a look at this debug log and see if something jumps out at them....

Re: Scraper Issues
Looks like I picked a hell of a time to add about 40 movies to my library. Oh well, I guess it's little blue folders for me.

Re: Coinops Where to Download and how to install??
I think the disk loaded up initially and then got corrupted, I guess it got a bit battered in transit but don't worry I have a cunning plan in progress and I'll be in touch very soon ;) Sorry to dig up an old(er) thread, but I'm in the midst of installing a 2TB drive in my 1.6 box and I would love ...

Re: "Fuzzy" .264's
It's mainly files that are streamed from the internet via plugins, so it's hard to give the "specs" on them as they are so random. But I think it's safe to assume, that they are all fairly "low data rate" as they are designed for web streaming. After observing different files ove...

"Fuzzy" .264's
Anytime I stream a .264 file to my XBOX, either from my local drive, or from online via a plugin, the image will appear "relatively" sharp, and then deteriorate into a somewhat blocky/fuzzy image over the course of about 8 - 10 seconds, and then re-sharpen itself, and repeat. This doesn't ...

Re: How To Refresh A Library
Okay, fixed it. It was the "Selected folder contains a single video file" that was screwing me up. Even though all of the folders contain a single video file, if I selected that option, the scan found nothing, regardless of any other options I had selected. If I selected only "Run aut...

Re: How To Refresh A Library
Enable Video Library is enabled by default on a new install, (I went back and checked anyway, and it was selected (blue dot)). And yes, I checked "Use folder names for lookups." Also, in your video, even though you were using PMIII skin, you added the source, and then enabled library. I th...

Re: How To Refresh A Library
http://pastebin.com/BegnMDTS I completely deleted my entire XBMC folder via ftp, then copied over 3.3.1. I moved 4 movie folders into a folder called "Test". Started XBMC, and added the "Test" folder as a source, set the content as movies and ran an automated scan. It detected no...

How To Refresh A Library
I have all my movies in their own subfolder inside the main "Movies" folder. [ie. Movies/127 Hours (2010)/127 Hours (2010).avi], also in each subfolder, I have a corresponding .nfo, .tbn and -fanart.jpg file. I recently did a fresh install of XBMC, added the movies folder as a source, set ...

Re: Numerous Issues/Errors
@Dan...I installed the latest 3.3.1 (as well as 3.3) via the SVN Installer, it downloads, extracts, installs (upgrade, not fresh), and when it asks if I would like to run it, I do, and everything seems to run great (very snappy). Then, to clean everything up, I reboot into unleashedX, then ftp in, d...

Could someone take a look at my debug log, and tell me if they can see anything blatantly wrong? http://pastebin.com/4Fq7eHpr Movies that use to play before, now won't play, music plugins that use to work, now won't (Digitally Imported, Radio, Song.to - don't work..Shoutcast and Sky do). And, the wo...

Re: What movie format do you use?
XVID. I've played around with 264/mp4's for a while, but...for me...they take twice as long to encode, the XBOX struggles to play them, and no matter what settings I use, I can't seem to get better or even equal quality than I can with XVID at only about a 10 - 15% increase in file size. I've tried ...
