Re: Upgrade my HDD in my hard modded xbox
Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place. About the slayer's disc. It's not the most current disc out there. You're probably better off with the latest Hexen disc. I see there's a Hexen 2018 disc out there (giyf). Having used the 2017 disc rather extensively I'd say it's a good resource....

Re: TSOP OG Xbox 1 or 2 TB taking too long to load.....options?
Here's a combination I've been using which doesn't cause long boot times: Nice prices. Needed a restock. Thanks I have tried two different WD HDD’s What series? Stay far away from green series in an Xbox. Their aggressive power saving features just don't work out in an Xbox. It’s on X2 5035 512mb B...

Re: Upgrading HDD/Installing Dashboard (Help please)
I doubt you have a BIOS issue, or at least I don't think you have an issue with the version of bios you're running. You're probably struggling against possible custom dash paths. If you were running a 1.6 version of the EvoX M8, I don't think you'd even get video as that bios is meant to work with t...

Re: original xbox hdd partitions size glitch
Incorrect cluster size somehow? What app did you use to format it? If it was anything other than xbpt (or XBPartitioner) 1.2 or 1.3 I'd suggest formatting the extended partitions with that and giving it another go.

Re: Creating E Drive larger than 4-5GB?
So on my 2TB system my E: drive is partitioned/formatted to the following size: 4,881.63 This seems to be whatever the default was when using xbpt to create the filesystem. You may or may not know this but I think it's worth restating at this point that the Xbox hard drive doesn't have a partition ...

That's a nice package. If you were in the northwest I'd consider an in-person buy just to get my hands on another good component cable. Update your profile to include state and city and someone else will probably consider the same.

Re: How to do a clean install?
So because it's chipped I can technically format every partition, even C, and start again? Ain't even technical, but yes. Format any partition. There's a folder on the HeXEn disc that is a stock C drive contents. E drive can essentially be left formatted and empty until you load whatever you want o...

Re: How to do a clean install?
I'd start by getting a HeXEn 2017 disc (very easy to find). It's got everything you're going to need to start fresh. After that it's just a matter of learning how things work to try and tailor your setup to your preferences. With a HeXEn disc and a chip-modded box like yours you don't have to fear f...

Re: Using HDD RAW COPY to clone an Xbox drive
If a person can take a softmodded xbox hard drive and clone it, why isn't there a cloned copy available for download so that henceforth from then on all a person wanting to mod an xbox has to do is copy stuff over to a hard drive by running a program to format and copy over the cloned data... Well ...

Re: [Tutorial] How To Install Any Grand Theft Auto 5 Mod Menu (Gta 5 Mods)
Well someone's gotta ask. So ... what's this got to do with original xbox modding? If you don't mind explaining the correlation. Else someone might think this is just for clicks. You don't want that, do you? Otherwise this might get scrubbed.

Re: xbox sata mod 2tb crashes
First thing I'd suggest is to scrutinize your SATA adapter. Look for shoddy soldering quality or heat damage on the main IDE-to-SATA bridge chip. I wouldn't worry about an incorrect cluster size if you did indeed use the 1.3 version of XBpartitioner. I've never seen that version fail... not yet, any...

Re: Is this a modchip and what type?
the gray wire coming off the chip is for d0 Your missing the switch board for that modchip, its useless without it. Couldn't someone just permanently connect some of the wires together and essentially just make it a basic 512K chip without that board? I imagine you'd need to have detailed knowledge...

Re: Need some help with my new modded xbox
Wait what, a 1.6 motherboad, i thought that the crystal xbox version has a 1.6 motherboard. Probably does. Are you under the impression that only Crystal Xboxes have 1.6 motherboards? The vast majority, though not all, of Xboxes built starting the later half of '04 to end of production are 1.6 moth...

Re: Help with "empty" HDD, can't load XBMC4XBOX
The possibility of corruption is there, have had it happen with the E partition before so since then I have a 'take no chances' approach to loading the contents of an Xbox hard drive. If I end up deleting a lot of files on any partition, I scrub the partition and simply load it from scratch. There s...

Re: Need some help with my new modded xbox
1. To upgrade my hard drive, do i follow the same route by just using chimp and cloning the drive (softmod way)? If you want to retain everything that's on it and transfer it to another drive, yes. Otherwise you simply place a fresh hard drive in and put a HeXEn 2017 disc in and load it from scratc...

Re: Dual SATA Dock with Offline Clone
About five hours and thirty minutes to transfer from a 2TB Samsung notebook drive to a 2TB Seagate Barracuda desktop drive using the Inateck dual drive dock. The Samsung had a max read of 145MB/Sec but I know that number starts to fall sharply 60% into the medium. The Seagate writes at 195MB/Sec so ...

Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread
Xecuter 5035, as I understand, is fine with or without. Don't know what affect that particular bios would have on not having a DVD-ROM drive on boot time. As for the 80-Wire cable, that's not something I would even try to work around anyway. The speed-up benefits are there and those cables aren't th...
