This is something that I do mind. Offering player cheating easy way. The game should be played with no cheating. So I cannot use this mod.

Re: Running Xbox Without DVD Drive

So, if this has to do with redesigning the whole Xbox case then I can understand but why would you want to remove the optical drive from a standard case? It is the part of the design!

recommended USB capture device

I am looking for some good but cheap USB capture device to record my Xbox through standard analogue composite / audio connection to notebook. The best if the device would allow you to record raw stream through VirtualDub for example. Simply something that is cheap but works with no stupid restrictio...

Re: Xbox with Duo X2 HDD replacement help

All I have ever done was using Verbatim CDRW and Auto Installer Deluxe 3.0 from Xbox HQ to boot via Xbox DVD drive and install the system. I have the DuoX2. No problems with spare hard drives, not even SATA SSDs via adapter, never needed to lock the drives, unlocked all the time. Using Evolution X o...

Re: Xbox analogs replacement caps

If you mean thumbsticks I replaced Controller S thumbsticks with those manufactured for that 360 crap controller. I got them on Ebay and although a bit different they still fit well on those metal sticks. Works really well and no one will notice. Kinda proves that good old S controller is more or le...

Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread

I agree. As we all know Xbox is restricted to some basic PATA transfer rate (around 30-40 MB/s?). There is no advantage of using flash drive compared to mechanical drive as for the speed. Both my SSD and HDD run pretty much at the same speed performance. Someone on You Tube did some tests claiming H...

Re: SATA Adaptor Compatibility thread

I wonder what is the cause of the slow boot times on many of these SATA converters. Because there is no delay on Agestar STI-2 with both magnetic and SSD drives. Of course it could be those large 2 TB drives that cause the delay / or even BIOS? From my experience, using Xecuter BIOS, absolutely no d...

Re: Arcade Machine based on Xbox Classic Console

He seems to be using LCD widescreen monitor instead of genuine CRT arcade screen. So yes, it makes sence to use Xbox for this because LCD itself distorts and downgrades the image. But I would like to emphasize that Xbox is still not capable of sending genuine 240p 15 kHz video signal (even I am sure...

Re: 3tb Xbox Info

So you all still use Xbox as media center even when the CPU cannot handle new video codecs and FATX system is so limiting regarding media files generally, or what is the purpose of asking for such a large capacity? Games? They hardly go over 200 GB once I start filtering only those that make sence /...

Re: pico psu

It would be great for the community if someone designed a replacement power supply (even dual voltage!), either based on existing computer solutions or the original Xbox ones. I guess in the future there is demand for them. Even today, if you want to import a (special edition) NTSC Xbox to PAL regio...

Re: X2/X3 BIOSes won't load some games?! (others do)

I only use Evolution X and no issues but I do remember that a long time ago (2006-7) XBMC had problems launching games. Duox2 Xboxes. Ironically (as for the name of this topic), I switched exclusively to Xecuter BIOSes (X2) because with a M8plus _16 BIOS there was an issue with NHL Hitz . The game d...

Re: Launching an ISO from the Hard Drive

I do not trust custom made ACL files, especially those that delete files. I use only original DVD2Xbox. It only comes with default ACL and a small number of games that I do not own (except TOCA 2?) - you see it does patch the files: CP|${DEST}\default.xbe|${DEST}\default.xbe_orig| # Media patch long...

Re: Launching an ISO from the Hard Drive

While you can always rename a file to fit within the FATX limitations, if the XBE isn't patched to look for that new file name, then it won't work. I am quite sure this is exactly what DVD2Xbox is doing by default. It patches the XBE executables so that files load fine on FATX system. I had no prob...

Re: Launching an ISO from the Hard Drive

Why use ISOs when you have a HDD? All games were developed using a HDD so all of them should run off HDD when "FATX patched". Going through this thread I think it is a good idea to try out that program called GXISO. From my expericence, using original Xbox game disks and ripping them with ...

Re: OG Xbox games coming to Xbox One X

The 360 was really a large step away from the normal windows /pc compatible hardware And it was certainly a large step away from quality. Beginning with non HDD DVD streaming only concept right to messed up 360 Controller with not functional d pad. Not to mention the RRoD. Too bad they did not cont...

Good evening! What were you doing some ten years ago when you could easily get all these quality things new, at good price? Wasting money on RRoD 360s right? Your fault. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Saitek-Xbox-Scart-Cable/dp/B00005UBQC https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/xbox-original-rgb-scart-cable-f...

Re: ssd

2 TB SSD? Do you realize the amount of money you need to spend for that? SATA SSDs should work fine in Xbox. At least Kingston V300 no problems. But do not expect any speed gain. The reason I use them is durability and no noise. But now it is not the best time to buy a new SSD. The prices are totall...
