Re: [WIP] XBMC ORIGINS: MINIMAL GAMING MOD

Haven't had much time lately to work on the mod, so I'm releasing the emulator icons now. More icons to follow, I'll continue to update the imgur gallery as I make more

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins v1.0.0

For everyone that needs emulators installed on a different partition (ie F or G) I discovered today a way to "trick" the skin into thinking all your emulators are installed in E:\Emulators by using xbe shortcuts. There is an app called XBE shortcut maker which can create a default.xbe file...

[WIP] XBMC ORIGINS: MINIMAL GAMING MOD

I'm working on creating a very simplistic mod of Origins. One that will have no home navigation other than games, as I don't have any need for the other parts of XBMC (at least not the XBOX version). Settings and File Manager are accessed through the guide, so you'll need the custom keymap.xml that ...

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins

So I kind of went a little crazy minimizing the skin to my liking, but for my personal use it's perfect. I can get wherever else I need to using the guide: http://i.imgur.com/kf0SM3w.jpg If anyone wants it I can upload it after I clean up some code, etc. And also of course obtain permission from Dom...

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins

I can relate to the lazy part, and I have no graphical skills. Perhaps you can lend a hand in the near future. As for the files, Using Notepad++, go to plugins, select plugin manager, look for and install XML Tools. Once installed, go to plugins, select XML Tools, and use Pretty print w line breaks...

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins

Nice... I was going to reply with a custom version for gaming only; you beat me to it... I figured it would have been easier to just modify it for you than to explain where to begin... Then I found out you're a skilled skinner yourself ( not that I'm saying I'm a skilled skinner myself ); my apolog...

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins

I've been tweaking everything to my liking. Created some matching emulator icons to match the skin as well:

I can post the icons later if anyone wants them

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins

I've updated the original post with more details; i'm hoping it makes some sense... Makes perfect sense, thanks Couple maybe bugs: - I don't seem to be able to set a favtorite for #27 - The featured games seem to cycle through randomly, or atleast not after it hits the last game, then it seems to j...

Thanks for the details Dom! One more question, could you post an example of an addon.xml for use with emulators? I'd like to be able to add shortcuts

Re: [RELEASED] XBMC Origins

Great skin Dom! Question about folder structure for games/emulators. What naming convention should I be using to be able to display everything? I remember seeing this before but I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks again,
