I just connected a regular 80 pin IDE cable the other way around and it works without a problem. I used one of the fancier ones, the round ones, as you can bend them easily once you remove the rubber insulation or whatever it's called.

If anyone has a similar problem, with just the clock capacitor blown and a time bootloop or hang, this is what i did. I removed the cap, just by wiggling it, carefully cleaned the surroundings with alcohol and cotton swabs and whoops, still bootlooping. So here's the trick, i just connected the xbox...
