Re: 110v to 240v conversion Halo edition 1.2 Xbox

Firstly check your Xbox revision. Halo editions are 1.2 or 1.6. The simpliest way is to replace PSU with 230V version. Some 110V PSUs could be converted to 230V by replaceing some internal parts, however it's safer to replace whole PSU if you aren't electrician.

Re: Need help with Tsop recovery after bad flash..

You need 2Mbit (256kB) eeprom or flashrom. DIP32 case will be the easiest for soldering. There are many brands, but they have the same pinout. It has to be flashed with external programmer. Then there is a lot of soldering. Make sure you really want to do this mod... It's cheaper and easier to buy A...

This mod works with 1.0-1.5 consoles. Capacitor is for voltage filtering, it's not necessary. All bioses are compatible.

Re: Need help with Tsop recovery after bad flash..

Hum sorry, I was under the impression the Xbox in question was a 1.0. In that case sorry, you're right and 1.4 indeed have 256KB TSOP, so there's no splitting possible... You're left with the 28-wire modchip or desolder TSOP options. No prob. i'm glad that you told me that the thing with the tsop_m...

You need a Xbox cable with TOSLINK or coaxial output, and compatible speakers (with coax/TOSLINK input).

Re: [Xbox 1.4] G partition unavailable in XBMC

You have to change bios to newer one, which supports LBA48 and F+G partitions. Most of 1.4 Xboxes have Winbond TSOP. It cannot be flashed with EvolutionX flasher. Burn a DVD with HeXen Installer, it has a tool (Gentoox) for flashing Winbond TSOP. http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/xbox/xbox-isos/he...

Re: Xbox Power button and Eject don't work after a while?

If you have a spare Xbox - replace the power/eject board.
If not, you need a multimeter. Measure resistance of switches when pressed - it should drop to ~1 ohm or less.

You can't check the temperature when playing a game. You have to reset console and load dashboard.
