Re: WTB X3 Control Panel Ruby Red?
I never saw that pic and I guess that red one was a prototype that made it out into the wild. I have all the other colours but like you guys, would love to own one of the red ones. Let be realistic though - it is nigh impossible to find green and blue ones that WERE in production so finding one of t...

Re: Xbox V1.4 with 128MB of RAM and 1GHZ CPU upgrade
The patcher attached above is ok for a few files but it is inflexible. If you have an HDD stuffed full of things that need patching then it is VERY time consuming. Here is another patcher that is far more flexible. This one still handles single files but can also recursively scan directories and pat...

Re: WTB X3 Control Panel USB Wire Piece
It is a pretty simple job to hard wire the USB board by piggy-backing off of the rear of the controller ports 3 & 4
Not ideal by any means but at least it gets your USB ports working cheaply and easily and you can always undo the "mod" if a cable does show up.

Re: X3CP
I do have a couple of X3IRs. They are plug and play but they are expensive and have less features than N64freaks excellent Xerc2 that he kindly started making for me. The Xerc2 pcb can be fitted on the underside of the motherboard using a thin double sided sticky foam pad- near the front is best. Th...

Re: X3CP
On mine, it was one of the pins in the connector on the switch PCB, but I guess you could check both ends.

Re: X3CP
If the buttons are working but not lighting up then it is possible that the cable to the switches is damaged or, more likely, one of the pins in the connector has become damaged. The pins are very small and easily bent if the plug is not inserted correctly. I had exactly that problem with a brand ne...

Hey buddy - how are you? Good to see that you are back with one of these again :) I have seen that problem a few times and it may possibly be an easy fix for you. Unclip the X3CP from the front of the console so you can get to the back of the lcd display. With the consoles turned on, try applying pr...

Dan
I had exactly this problem with 2 boards from N64 Freak. I simply booted to the MS Dash and changed the language settings there and bingo - all the games on the HDD back to English again.
Hope that helps.

Re: Xerc2 (XE) Redesigned - For Sale!
I received my first board from N64 a few days ago and it is only when you have it in your hand that you appreciate what a lovely neat and small product this is. I did say that I would post some pics when I install it but for now, I only had an hour or so spare so lashed it up quickly to test it out....
