Re: xbox hd transcoding

I test it again and it still works, for me...

All my content is strictly h263, running a Phenom II X6 on Linux.

The latest xbmc4xbox build would hang when trying to find UPnP devices. I uploaded xbmc4xbox 3.33 and it found the UPnP and I can play all content.

Re: xbox hd transcoding

I wrote a Plex DLNA profile for us. Xbox will play anything I throw at it. Run Plex Media Server, add this DNLA profile, and point you XBMC4xbox upnp at your server. My original post is at Plex forums, unfortunately it received no love, I thought about posting it here somewhere but I dont know where...

Re: Compile xbmc4xbox for LINUX

It will not execute any python script through :( I think its breaking on the python execution or some weird access violation... I dont have a windows machine available to see if its something else other than me trying to run this with wine. Please help if you can. Im so close to getting this working...

Re: Compile xbmc4xbox for LINUX

FYI, it works with WINE, just make sure you configure the drives correctly as it is in the run_me.bat and remap the Z: drive to /tmp

Sorry should have checked that first.

Compile xbmc4xbox for LINUX

Is Linux supported? I know that there is support for Windows but I just have to ask as I dont use windows. I am wanting to develop python applications for the xbox, I would prefer to test & debug on my Laptop which is Linux. Current builds of Xbmc do not allow easy script execution, it forces yo...

Re: Hello :) X3 LCD, Xlink Kai client

Hate to nag but any progress on this? Lol sorry, you grabbed my attention! Also now I am going to use XBMC4XBOX full time and only toggle XBMCKai when I need it. Simply because I can only get UPnP source to load my content correctly on XBMC4XBOX, on the old version it loads but freezes when I try to...

Re: Hello :) X3 LCD, Xlink Kai client

AWESOME! Xlink is the reason why I still use the old version of xbmc. Currently, it still works! This should just be a port. There is a bug though, once the Xlink session is initialized I have to change my default gateway to the IP address of my Xlink host. The first time I use XLink ( session has ...

Re: BackUp Game Saves On Boot Script, Any Advice?

There's a game save/file manager in xbmc. He managed to delete all his game saves using that. Now he's into starting a new game and overwriting our previous save. I did some research last night. I'm creating a perl script to use on my apache server. All it does is display the localtime when you goto...

BackUp Game Saves On Boot Script, Any Advice?

I am tired of my 3 year old deleting/overwritting our game saves. Ill play a game with him and we will get far into a game, only to come pack the next day and find its gone... It was cute the first couple of times but now I need to create a solution to prevent having to play the same levels 10 times...

Re: Aladdin XT Plus2 for sale

I bought a GameCube and Xbox chips from deal4days $5 each. Its just a basic Aladdin but I want to have it in case I ever acquire an 1.6 Xbox. I got xenogc for my gamecube just for fun. Im interested in its homebrew because it started the whole Wii scene. Now I get to wait a month for it to arrive fr...

Re: XBMC not booting, freezing at splash screen

I have this issue with apps sometimes.

Are you softmodded or using custom bios?

Do you have it on your network?

It seems that if my Xbox is not plugged in a network it hangs. I use dhcp and I think it sits indefinitely waiting. I think this might be the bios I'm using too.

Re: Any MythTV Users ?

One of the main reasons I pulled the latest SVN build was because of this feature, however I did not see MythTV anywhere within XBMC. I am familiar with the MythTV plugin for XBMC on pc however I see no way to enable it on the xbox. I did see HDhomerun though. All my channels are OTA so I seriously ...

Re: XBMC4Xbox 3.3 Improved 128MB Ram support?

Would mind commenting on which BIOS supports 128MB?

I have evox flash to my tsop. But I am disappointed that it does not allow me to unhook the DVD Drive ( I might need to short wires on the drive or something )?
