Re: Xbox 1,4ghz switchable and 128mb off Ram

@Geeba: That are 128MBit Ram chips. If you convert the 128MBit to MByte it's 16MMB. 4 off them will result in 64mb.
Long story short that is the standard Xbox ram and sadly will also result in 128mb if you solder in 4 extra chips!

Re: pico psu

Hi, with a little modification it should work. Never personally tested it but a few Xbox mini projects used them. One thing to check is that the 5V Supply can provide enough amps. And it would be good to know if you want to use a 3,5"HDD or a 2,5" and of course if you want to keep the DVD ...

Re: will an xbox still boot with tsop removed ?

Yes, the Xbox can still boot from an LPC port chip when the tsop is removed! When the tsop is removed you possibly won't even need to pull d0 to ground but as a safety precaution i would recommend it. That's how i run a V1.4 board for quite some time now! http://www.fotos-hochladen.net/thumbnail/img...

Re: Xbox external VGA Mod -> Updated Frozen cable

@Spicemuseum Correct this is a custom designed Component to HDMI converter. The 7 Connections are: Y, Pb, Pr, L+R Audio, Spdif and +5v as power supply. The Cable is identified as a component cable and is basically just an YPBPR->HDMI converter that is a single cable so you don't need the Component c...

Re: Xbox external VGA Mod -> Updated Frozen cable

@geeba: Yes i created and built that board. The VGA mod wasn't working properly and a lot off new tvs don't even have an vga in so i simply skipped continuing the vga mod and started working on this instead. The cable doesn't need a modified Bios and will work with any retail or modded Bios. You can...

Re: Xbox external VGA Mod -> Updated Frozen cable

Well this cable is the only one in existence by now so this one is not for sale but they will be in the future. The first cables will be sent out to persons who are willing to fully test them on there screens and with different software setups. Once i get that feedback and everything works the way i...

Re: Xbox external VGA Mod -> Updated Frozen cable

It does exactly the same as the frozen VGA cable! Compared to the Frozen VGA cable it does have true H and V-sync signals but the black bars are the same. It's a problem off the Bios not the cable as the Xbox just isn't built to output a true VGA signal and nobody programmed a suitable Bios. This wo...

Yes i'm still offering them. The normal turn around time from your order to the shipment of the console is normally around 5-7 days.
Will send you a pm in a minute to talk about the details!

Would be original green ones that might have a few small scratches. If you are interested just drop me a pm and we can talk about it!

Re: Xbox external VGA Mod -> Updated Frozen cable

Yes! The frozen-cable (as well as this one) need a VGA patched Bios to work.
But running Linux with the cromwell Bios should also work as Linux sets the needed Scaler Registers.
But i need to confirm it as i never checked that it personally!

Xbox external VGA Mod -> Updated Frozen cable

Hi, I threw together a quick updated version off the Frozen VGA cable. The difference to the original frozen VGA cable is the Sync seperator IC. The frozen cable uses an LM1881 that outputs composit and Vertical sync. The frozen cable used the composit sync as the Horizontial sync which works quite ...

Re: Xbox 1,4ghz switchable and 128mb off Ram

@GoTeamScotch: No extra funds needed for that! I only have to fill out a small customs form to ship it to the US. Don't know how it's in the US to import such a console but exporting is no problem here! @fxmech: I allways try packaging it up as good as possible as i know that shipping companies don'...

Re: Xbox 1,4ghz switchable and 128mb off Ram

The Xboxes ddr Ram isn't the fastest and is the next bottleneck after the cpu speed. The Xbox won't ever be able to play HD materials too well. If you convert the HD movie to a lower quality it could possibly be played without a problem. But if you drop the quality somuch there is no sense in still ...

Re: Xbox 1,4ghz switchable and 128mb off Ram

The 1400mhz has about double the performance compared to the retail 733mhz cpu. Well for retail games the extra performance is useless as you have to patch them to work again. Well some games don't need patching. But i'm not doing these upgrades for people who just want to play retail games as you c...

Re: Xbox 1,4ghz switchable and 128mb off Ram

Well it wouldn't be a lot cheaper as i normally buy a good board and a donor for the ram for about 25€. So if you wanted to supply a clean board and the ram (donor board) it would be a total off 185€+shipping costs. PS: I'm only offering this service for people living in the european union. Getting ...
