N64Freak 1ghz 128mb ram Xbox and Emulators Help

Post by toxicmedz »

I'm having a interesting issue with my 1ghz 128mb xbox with 90% of my emulators and games. Just about everything is playing ALOT faster than its supposed to. I just had to rebuild my HDD and I don't remember this being an issue before the rebuild, I mean its possible and I just don't remember But I don't think this is normally an issue with Emulation. I thought it was just mainly Genuine Xbox games that need patching to work correctly on a upgraded board..

Anyone have any ideas why everything is running too fast?

I've had that issue before with my 1ghz Trusty. Either the emulator was fast or the preview videos were really choppy. Once i patched the xbe all was good and smooth.

Yep, most emus need patching, but some like DesmumeX don't need to be patched.

im having another issue now, Just updated Surreal 64 to the newest build I could find and patched it. games seem to be working better but the odd thing is the launcher is like 4:3 instead of 16:9 It no longer takes up the full screen. Any ideas what happened? I even downloaded a new Skin from surreal64's site and its also small..

You gotta consult with the docs or emuxtras if your answer is not included...

Probably just a matter of deleting your config and reconfigure the emulator's skin from within the latest release
