Hi you wouldn't happen to have a spare power lead available would you?
Id be happy to pay 99p for it if you got one spare and if the postage is no more than £2.
Trying to sell my old xbox v1.4 (softmodded with SID 5.1)on musicmagpie, they only want to give me £9 for it
so even if I get £6 in the end at least its better than nothing. they won't buy it without the cable.
still has original 8GB HDD I think? may have switched it for a 40GBhdd?? perhaps I should rethink this?
are people still buying these around here?

Any figure of 8 type mains lead will work, ie: one from a CD/Radio player or a Sky Box. The only difference I can tell is Xbox ones have a big weight type thingy near the input plug, I don't know what it's called? Anybody on here know? :)
Yes people are still buying original Xboxes ;)

It's a ferrite bulb.

A cheap way to get rid of electrical noise. You can use them on any cable that is likely to get interference issues. Have a look at the lead on an original Xbox controller and right behind the controller there is one there too.

Ow and by the way, you can use any figure 8 cable instead of the original Xbox one. I have used them many times with no adverse effects. The Sony PSII one is exactly the same minus the ferrite. The figure 8 is a common standard but is slowly being replaced, when space permits, with the 3 wire IEC connector that also has an earth connector if required.

These "International Electrical Connectors" are idea for devices that are made for the world market and allow the manufacturer to simply supply just a line cord to suit the intended countries wall plug rather than installing the wall plug to the device's line cord.
