At the moment its running from 5 volt and its quite noisey, I think i can get it to run slower without to much problem, after giving up the seats the joypad ports were sat in i was quite amazed at how much room there is there and would bet you could get a much bigger fan there instead but with a bit of extra cutting.

This Xbox normaly sits on it's side so i guess joypad 3 & 4 are at the bottom now :D

oh yeah, nearly forgot, this fan is blowing not sucking, but it keeps the case temp down loads that way, the stock one by the cpu on mine is blowing at like 45 onto the heatsink so drawing through the rear a bit.

Hmmm, just happen to pull one outta the bag Nex and isn't she pretty. Blue is a favorite of mine as it has so many shades you can use to contrast. I wonder how chrome would go with blue on a Xbox. Never seen one but blue always goes sweet with chrome on cars.

Haha, chrome makes me laugh everytime the idea is brought up. I had a friend that wanted to do chrome, he bought one of those cheap clear cases and had the brilliant idea to paint the inside chrome. Not so brilliant once he found out the chrome paint laid down in a flat grey if your looking at it from the underside. The inside of the case was nice and chrome but no the side that showed.

Been thinking about chrome (sliver or gold?), I did just score 9 xbox's from 40$ on Craigslist recently so i'll be doing some painting. I'm thinking about doing the first Plasti-dip xbox, if anyone doesnt know what Plasti-dip is, it's the greatest thing to come out of a rattle can!!!!!!!!!!! And it peels right off if you dont like the look. More to come.....................

@BKO Do black with a red jewel and then do red on the P/E button panel. Looks spectacular.

Yer it was the electroplating process I was thinking of like the plastic chrome used on car parts like window surrounds etc. I've always been tempted to do a wood finish like that used on wood dash panels in cars. The place that does all the locally made car fake wood panels is only a couple of klicks away from me. Then again I saw a laptop after the local tattooist had a go an that was amazing with skulls reaching out of the ground, seems he is a champion with a pencil spray gun as well. The depth he was able to achieve made it look truly 3D. Glad to hear of your nice Craig's list score Nex. Looking forward to seeing some real gems now as with you BKO. You guys have really turned out some nice work in the past.

Thank you for the encouraging words as always Xman. I cant remember if this was reposted or not but since we are on the topic of colors............

http://diy.sickmods.net/Tutorials/Case_ ... r_Chooser/

I wish we could move this app to this site just in case they're site goes down. It would be a great help to those trying to decide on color, google is such a hit and miss when searching for painted xbox now that 360's have flooded the scene.

The CF look should be easy, go to any auto accessories place that sells ricer gear and they will have the CF self adhesive sheets.

HAHA, glad you chose the word Ricer. I just puppy kicked a Ricer today from a 30-100 roll. I pulled him by about 4 cars and then he performed the notorious Ricer Fly By on me, classic
Now if Xphaze was behind the wheel it might have been different :D

Very close, he had a big sticker on the rear windshield that said "Juarez" in old English letters.
