Re: Microsoft Xbox Key Ring
It was more about using some donation money and get a few (more than a few) to give away to the forum, but trying to get a discount. but. *shhh* dont tell anyone.
Re: Microsoft Xbox Key Ring
Well the advertiser wants EUR 5,- for it. And she got only one.
But I've seen on the internet some new ones for the same price or even cheaper.
here on ebay uk
Brand new and he got more on stock. For you BuZz
Or what about this one
Looks also nice.

Re: Microsoft Xbox Key Ring
I emailed a seller and struck a deal. I just purchased 20 keyrings for £50.
I'll do a giveaway, or prize draw if people are interested.
(Ill work things out when they arrive and after I have looked up postage costs etc)

Nice work Buzz, those keyrings look pretty damn sweet. I wonder if xman could modify them so that when you press the button a USB stick pops out? Now that would be an xbox slim mod I'd be interested in, what do you think xman - you could even stick one of your famous LCD clocks on the back

Well when I saw them I thought a remote like this inside-http://www.dealextreme.com/p/super-mini ... 24?item=10whufclee wrote:Nice work Buzz, those keyrings look pretty damn sweet. On looking up these remotes I come across these "Geek Toys".http://www.dealextreme.com/p/universal- ... 64?item=18Maybe worthy of a second giveaway or lower prize in a raffle for the forum. Now what geek wouldn't want one of those for controlling there Xbox aye.

Re: Microsoft Xbox Key Ring
I've seen ones similar to these in my local £1 shop (think it was PoundLand, although not entirely sure as we have quite a few where I live - the classy neighbourhood that it is!). In all seriousness would it be possible to map one of those so it controls the xbox? I'm still yet to mess around with remotes - would the official Xbox DVD receiver work with it?

Re: Microsoft Xbox Key Ring
@ Whufclee- that exact same remote works fine on my Samsung T.V.s and I do have an RCA brand T.V. which I tuned another one of those remotes to work on. Problem was it was controlling the Xbox connected to it as well so yes, it is capable of controlling an Xbox. Basic functions like volume play etc but it did run. Range was about 3 meters and with a good battery, (3 volt coin battery), it lasted about 3 months.

Thank you Buzz for purchasing those for us. I say do a drawing to be fair. If there are any left over you can pick your self on who would get one to be perfectly fair eh?

Re: Microsoft Xbox Key Ring
Thanks.
I appreciate the advice. I have made a few decisions regarding the keyrings.
Here they are btw:
I have decided to give ~10 away to those who donated £5 or more to the project (since I have been handling donations) - and I will cover postage. I will then do a random selection with those left over. I hope you all understand that I decided it this way, as those who have contributed financially enabled me to get them in the first place. of course. should any of them not want one, they will go into the main draw. For the ones for the draw, they will be given away, but postage will need to be covered. it shouldn't be much, but depends o your location (im in the UK btw).
