XBMC4XBOX 3.2 Released
I am pleased to announce another release of XBMC4XBOX – v3.2
A number of bugs have been fixed, including a working fix for the lockups when using UPnP. There has been some significant performance improvements also, with the addition of the libjpeg-turbo library. Based on some code from XBMC, and some of our own, we now use this SIMD optimised library for decoding and thumbnailing JPEG images. The speed up is very noticeable – with navigating photos feeling at least twice as fast as before. XBMC4XBOX will now also use less memory when displaying and zooming in on images.
Release Includes:
- libjpeg-turbo support for images
- Fixed UPnP lockups
- Browse by Country support in movie library
- Scraper fixes
- Switch to Roboto font in Confluence skin
- Plenty of misc bugfixes and code backports from xbmc mainline
- Lots of code refactoring to better match upstream changes

Watched Overlay doesn’t work in the newest releases, but works fine in 31121 just fine.

your account has to be activated manually for now – which was done earlier so you should be able to login now.
also worth noting that if you have run a nightly release after 3.1 (from r31111 to r31129), you will need to delete and start again for the database stuff to work – see http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=114

You guys are gods. I remember back when Upnp support was dropped because of a glitch and no one reporting it. My heart broke a little when I first found out. I even tried to hold off upgrading but it was impossible. I had to upgrade at some point.
But you have fixed it. I can’t wait to get home and install it on my Xbox. Hurray for xbmc4xbox team.

thanks for all your hard work, this is a project I benefit from in my daily life.
i’m running XBMC4XBOX-3.0.1-STABLE do I need to install 3.1 first to get the big-fixes there or can I just install 3.2 and still get everything. I’m mostly concerned with the DVDPlayer updates/fixes in 3.1

Anyone?! this is a fundamental type question about upgrades and whether they are incremental, I feel this is an important question, and hard to Google as it;s so specific. I’ve had no luck at all.

Playing with the Hulu plugin lately, a bit buggy (occasional Freezes) but VERY highly recommended, SO MUCH CONTENT!!!

Big thanks for this release! Everything looks great except for the my music album art has lost resolution. Is there a fix for this?
you could try the nightly build – but install it separately. some image resizing issues have been addressed.
